Delve Into The Mystical Side Of Blood Rage Before Kickstarter Ends!
March 15, 2015 by brennon
Rounding things off on Kickstarter over the next few days is the addition of Shamans to the world of Blood Rage! With all these Vikings dying left and right you need someone to send them off to Valhalla spiritually!
The Shamans have the unique advantage of being able to invade regions for free in the game and when combined with some of their interesting upgrade cards, which you'll see below, they could make for quite the game changer.
They sound like an awesome alternative option to the regular fighting and the thematic choice of when and where to use your Shaman is also pretty ace. They act a lot like the spooky Seer from the Vikings TV show.
Which of them is your favourite so far?

Those look really good.
These could tempt me back into fantasy. If only they were the first releases for an ongoing and fully supported range of miniatures, rather than just playing pieces for a one off board game.
I find that I like to shop different ranges to build my fantasy world. These would definitely fit in!
I went all in on sedition wars … and regret it to this day … not really because there was anything wrong with the minis of course. The minis were really nice and I am honestly happy to own them, to this day.
It was that the game itself was really kinda … meh … AND sedition wars could be had ALL over the internet for bargain basement prices (half of what I paid) AND there was like I want to say something approaching a one year delay on shipping for the game. It was really messed up and I felt burned pretty bad. Don’t take this as a bash on the McVey’s I like their stuff, always have.
I just don’t trust the CMON group, they are part of the Dark Age/New Wave minis group and the taint that started with New Wave (I seriously think they might have broken a better business bureau complaint record or something) back in the 90s … continues to this day with those guys. They just produce Kickstarter cash grab after kickstarter cash grab … they know what people will buy. Slap some slick plastic minis in a box and you can sell them anything. It is true.
The question for me is … ya ya there are a couple “exclusives” in there but most of that will all be in the retail box. If it ends up like sedition wars … its going to be available on the net for half the kickstarter price … in no time. And here is where they usually get me, I lack any self control when it comes to minis and kickstarters. But even there I have a method, I’m loath to use it, but I can just tell on myself. What do I mean by that? Well I’ll just tell the misses and she’ll whack me with a frying pan … problem solved … and you thought you were so smart CMoN! HA … HA … HA … *thump* …
Thanks for the heads-up @lordofexcess . Will definitely wait for these to become available in retail. I hope they’re sold separately.
nice models.
Dont think these will be sold as a separate piece. I had to put more in for the wild boar clan that they just introduced
that serpent clan shaman looks amazing 😉
It will be ( I think ) quite an eye opening last 30+ hours for this KS. I am excited for this game, the mini’s look great, especially the big monsters that you can summon if you have the card and enough rage to pay for it.
Miniatures based on Adrian Smith art, “Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full sir”.
The game looks decent enough as well which will be a nice bonus but there use in the Conan game is what finally sold them.
This will not be a sedition wars heartbreaker. Eric Lang has written the game…probably nuff said…
