Welcome to the Salute 2016 Live Blog where we're going to be getting stuck into all the fun happening here down at the ExCel Centre in London. Salute is one of the BIGGEST wargaming and tabletop events of the year for the UK and we can't wait to see what's on offer.

Morning campers ! awake at silly o’clock today and am getting ready for what will be a great day. Going to prodos stand first to pick up Jezebel then off to 4 ground for some new buildings.will try am keep the SHINNEY syndrome in check but can’t promise anything.

wow just got back home, absolutely knackered. Had a great day, saw some really inspiring things, and managed to catch 15 mins or Mr Giraldez doing is wonderful stuff. There really is just so much to see, It’s a shame it’s only on for one day.
I’m really glad Beasts of War cover the event like this, I really wanted to go but have been laid out by a chest infection so couldn’t travel. Next Year!
Looking good, love the photos, and good to see the different vendors, especially the smaller names. Battlestar Galactic table looks good. Say hi to Hysterical Games and Macrocosm, they havebsome great new releases, especially the Skogtrolls from HG, trolls with Guns!
Loving the scenery, especially the 4ground bits, and the Gates of antlers drones would look good in a 15mm scifi setting I think
I am going to have to go next year. Shame I could’nt this year. 🙁

Troll Trader had an incredible newith building on display at their TTCombat stand near the back of the hall. Sorry for the picture quality though, the second one came out super blurry.
Also that camper van you can see at the bottom of the first picture will be on their store soon. It’s a seriously nice kit for ~£6

That’s the one. They just finished it in time for the show @caladors (and a few other things, like the camper van). When I asked them about it, they said the new products should be up on the site next week.

Spent my cash in an hour and a half! Hawk did well out of me this year. Lovely to get a quick moment to chat with @brennon. Was going to congratulate @warzan on his upcoming nuptials but he looked to be caught up in a pretty in depth conversation with some chaps.
What an event! My first visit there and I got so caught up wandering round I forgot Giraldez was demoing. Special mention to Dave from Hawk for just being out there chatting to people without any effort to sell. Everyone was very approachable.
Trying to settle my daughter to sleep now. Back to reality.

Wow, just looking at the photos tells me that game conventions across the pond are vastly different than those in the states. I mean, look at all the space between the tables. You do have to run to get to the next table and and can bend over the displays without bumping into somebody.
Sad that you guys start today’s vlog with the goodbyes. Maybe it’s a European thing with scrolling down the page from end to start.
Now that I know how good Salute is I have to go next year.

Had a great day, was looking out for BoW but think I got sidetracked! Picked up some dropzone commander and firestorm task force as well as some brushes, awesome displays and demos as usual. AVP by Prodos was very tempting and may need to be on a Birthday/Christmas list this year, the sculpts look awesome!
Looks like a great convention. Time to plan for next year 😉

Great show, highlights for me were the Mad Max game, Alien vs Predator, watched a seriously epic game of that come down to a spoon fight between a predator, 2 aliens and a marine. Tanks! the Dark Souls demo. Um, the wargames, the people, not the food, a random bottle of cider, talking to a random guy on the train home about AvP, not convincing myself to buy Guild Ball and Project Z and coming home with a ten pound note unspent still in my wallet.
