Warhammer 40K 8th Edition Is Up For Pre-Order!
Games Workshop just opened up per-orders for the latest edition of Warhammer 40K! If you have been watching our coverage of UK Games Expo you would have seen our demo game that Justin and Simon from GW played, as well as the seminar from GW from yesterday afternoon.
So, far the response has been pretty positive and I even have seen a couple of comments that this edition may bring some back into the fold.
Besides the two-player starter set, they are offering a limited edition collector's set.
A very exciting time for Warhammer 40k players, so you better jump on this right away! It will be available in stores on June 17.

I spent a couple of hours wandering around. I’m now shattered and have no money. Not a bad day all in all 🙂
May I make a suggestion for future live blogs? While I understand the blog part, it would be nice if there where a way to merge all the videos and images into one long single video at the end of each day. It would be impossible during the middle of the day because it would be to much editing involved. We can still comment within the individual segments.
Other than that, enjoying what has been presented thus far.

Was so wanting to go this year but couldn’t make it due to “insufficient funds available”. At least I’m not missing out on everything with the coverage available. Just need to find some way of getting mantic’s walking dead promo.

I go to GenCon about every few years and always get stuck on the vendor and demo floors for a day or two.
Great job on covering the convention so far. It’s always great to see all the booths and what folks are selling, displaying, and demonstrating.

Had such a good time at the expo yesterday. Loads of cool stuff to see. Was really taken with the Wild West Exodus stand. Been painting my free mini today. I think I’m a bit hooked!

Thank you for the coverage. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to get too the UKGE, but it’s fun to watch.
Just got back home after a day at the Expo. Hall was nicely laid out, with enough space to walk around even on the busiest day of the show. Foo inside the hall was fine, and the street food area by the hotel was great. My only purchase was a SLA Industries i badge. Nothing else grabbed me at all, and never got a chance to playtest anything 🙁 The Steamforged stand was a real disappointment, they didn’t bother to put a single price label on any of the stock…so I couldn’t be bothered to buy from them.
I guess I’ll comment here for the cozy dice satchel, there was no comment space on that post. First off the stuff she makes is beautiful and the colors are so vibrant. The that she produces are the kind of things you don’t just use you show off.
Glad to see the WH40Kv8 coverage. They seem to be coming out of their sell-centered shell. Now, why do I want to glue my leftover Turox tracks to the flying tank??? Anyway, taking some time to scroll up the live blog. Thanks for the coverage everyone.

I went yesterday and really enjoyed it. The walking dead promo hooked me! Although it was a smaller hall this year it was jam packed!
My first time at the expo and I’m loving it :).

I did stop by the grimlord games guys (glad I backed that on kickstarter) and saw the creator of drowned earth wandering about (I thought he’d be taller).
I really appreciate the coverage of so many board games and lesser-wargamey companies. It’s nice to have the variety!

Here we are on day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.

Good coverage. We were down on Saturday, it was well organised and lots to see. I particularly enjoyed Batman and Dark Souls, although I’m waiting to see if DS comes down in price a bit before taking the plunge..
