was gonna pick up the warspear chieftan anyway but now i’ve got a bloodseer to pick up and a couple of beast mistresses (finally gonna wipe our cygnar players grin about journeyman warcaster’s off his face)
I would love to win a Woldwrath and get my start in WarmaHordes.
Yet another unit I’m not looking forward to face on the battlefield.
Have to say the Archangel is by far one of the best dragon sculpts out there
I don’t like them too much…
The warspear warchief is the jewel of this set so far, though both of the lights show promise. The bloodseer in particular has much promise.
I would love santa Lyl if not for the giant bull’s eye on her. Any time she can’t windwall or magical guns can get in range she’s in trouble. She has so many great little tricks, but some matchups are very bad for her. All the gimmickry in the world doesn’t make up for that huge base.
The archangel is okay but …that animus is such dead weight. It’s a solid beast with a fair statline but the faction has so little support for it that the AA can’t really shine in many lists. It won’t fall on it’s face or make you lose, but it certainly isn’t as fierce as a dragon should be.
I’m rather torn on the beast mistress. On one hand she is great with everything you could hope for from a lesser warlock. On the other hand there aren’t any long-range lesser beasts to allow her to stay back and shoot and in legion you probably want those shredders in your battlegroup instead of set to a solo. She may find herself running a flanking force in a shredder spam list.
The Archangel is the best looking of the Gargantuans, but I do like the Woldwrath too.
That last model is one of the coolest models I have seen from PP. I need to get my hands on it!
I don’t play Legion but I so want to paint that archangel. My brushes call out to it.
Well this was the break down I was looking for and I am on the fence in choosing a fourth army for this game. This model makes me want to build an everblight one. However another part of me wants to wait for the new faction for warmachine to come out.
This is a really hard choice now that I have taken in a lot of what this model does.
But then again how can anyone make a sane choice of buying and building, an entire list based on really liking just one model-lol
Completely agree, PP do an amazing job of making all faction have appeal – Cyriss are looking so promising – but the archangel I am not primarily a painter but even if I never use it I want one to paint.
With every video, more doubt is seeded in my mind about my 40k army. Maybe there’s still enough time and money left to transfer the warmahordes

Archangel is a great model. Already tall enough without the obelisk it’s sitting on!
Gotta say I’m looking forward to the bloodseer and the archangel as well at Lylyth.
Will not look forward to facing off against some of these guys.
Another nice video. I have not picked a faction, yet. Legion are appealing. But I tend to play the “good” guys more than the “bad” guys. I will likely pick Trollblood or Cycle. It would be good to see an unboxing with the starter box. Two armies with 20 miniatures, ~$5US per model is cheap. But is it a good mix of models?
I have to say that of all the things PP makes the Legion Of Everblight line of miniatures is my favorite. I don’t even play their games but I love collecting the models because so many of the sculpts are great.
Been busy, so first comment – doing a great job with the coverage and selection of presenters is brilliant – really sum things up well for a newbie like me, as well as looking at wider synergy (Started in mk1 – first game was actually after work in a GW storeroom – but never played regularly due to circumstances) Cannot wait for minions.
Trolls just look solid, a Grim is just an amazing sculpt, Skorne seem to be the faction with the high power aditions, Circle I have never been a fan of but following the run through of eMorganna’s theme force that is actually tempting, Legion get more of what legion does.
Legion are one of my two fledgling hordes forces, the other being trollbloods – but the archangel is by far and away the most impressive gargantuan model wise (No small feat) and one of the more impressive models I have seen recently.

Now we are talking. This is some good stuff right there for Legion. Besides IMHO Archangel is best looking gargantuan. Its basically big dragon so whats not to like.
i think ill pass on the legion if i do start going for hordes

Beautiful model but I hate playing against Everblight. They’re a tough army to fight, my luck hasn’t been good against them so far.
The archangel is the best ‘large’ model I’ve seen for a while, and from the first preview I looked at I decided I was getting one to paint , although I dont play hordes at all.
I mentioned it in another thread, but I wanted to say again how good this series has been, from the perspective of someone whos no idea at all about warmahordes its kept me interested,I only looked for the models really in the first one, some of which I really like, but even I can get a grasp of the tactical options on the tabletop each unit brings, so well done to you guys
So far I’ve played the warspear UA (Rhyas) and afflictor (with pLylyth) and they were both amazing and I’ve played the beast mistress with eVayl and she was not as good but I’d say it will take some practice.
The ‘afflictor’ looks like a mutalisk from StarCraft.
Very interessting week so far, I hope there will be some battle reports/demos! Recently I found it very interessting to watch battle reports, but there are so few out there that are done well. BoW does it really good (Infinity, Carnevalle and Mercs were all great!). So please make more :D!!!
I love all these minis, would love to get into hordes but can’t make up my mind which faction to choose.
The warspear chieftain looks really cool, I dont play legion but might end up painting it.
I’m in it for the metal. I love the detail of larger figures.

I don’t play Legion but, I think I may have add the Archangel to my collection anyway.
I really think that PP are stepping up their game by releasing evermore awesome minis imho, especially with the Warspear chieftain. Makes me happy again. 🙂

I hope someone of my wargaming club would start a Legion force, just so I could fight against it with my Retribution. There’s a lot of history between Iosans and dragons for what I read up.

Haven’t played hordes, yet, but the models are looking pretty cool.
broken is in the eye of the ‘Beholder’ (and if Legion get one of them I’m going to cry).
My everblight player friend loves the new warspears addition.
Have yet to play against everblight, looks scary.

If I got a woldwrath I’d be able to smash the legions of everbroke into the ground. Until the mammoth came over and beat all of our faces in.
Everblight is my main Hordes faction and the Archangel is just screaming to be bought and painted up as a centerpiece for my army.

You could use Archangel model as a stand in for fantasy Dragon, and it would look awesome.
