Gargantuans Break Down: Skorne

Today it's time to have a look at the Skorne faction in the new Gargantuans book. These pain loving psychopaths seem like an incredibly strong faction now with all their new gear, but will they be the strongest of the new stuff from the book, or will the Legion or one of the other factions pull it out of the bag?

the Skorne Gargantuan is awesome but the Woldwrath is still the best!!! (and the Mountain King, awesome awesome models!)
I think it is crazy that Skorn, who is not much of a shooty army, would get such a crazy boost in shooting

I love the Skorne gargantuan model, but daaaaamn that’s going to be time consuming to paint.
Skorne is my main faction, and i LOVE 95% of what they got! A great release for Skorne Players!

Besides of Legion video this is most interesting one to me. Man Makeda is awesome and maybe little broken. That alone almost makes me want to start Skorne as well. Mammoth seems to be very good as well.

Here’s something to add we are starting to run league play, where you can now mix and match factions. Here in my neck of the woods, also we are running 2 list tourneys where you can have 2 different faction lists and go back and forth depending on who you are paired with…

A friend just bought a 50pt Skorne army, largely tempted by the stuff in Gargantuans.
thanks for the tip bout the head kev might be able to take that for building other faction models e.g. my carnivean has a tendency to hug models at arms reach… also liking these rules enjoy the challenge they’ll present!

Shenanigans, tomfoolery and more chunky baubles. Thanks for the Skorne video. Much of the details are still beyond my meager understanding of Hordes. Duh, I need to see an intro vid or vids to break down the mechanics.

Can’t comment on the game mechanics as I’ve never played it, but that gargantuan model is fantastic.
This got me interested in Skorne .. but I need to get my Menoth Colossal first!

We should rally around a section to be created here called like the Winners Circle or something where people can post stories and photos about their winning’s for the rest of us to read. In cases like scoring a model of game that has never been played or faction …ETC

I read up some of the fluff on Vinter Raelthorne, is his fluff with the Skorne worked on the Hordes books? I also heard there’s some development on Skorne going into Ios, dunno if it’s accurate, but the image of that Gargantuan going against some Hyperions is really cool to imagine.
Skorne looks like they got a good boost that they really needed.
Mammoth is crazy good. It’s almost ridiculous how much better it is rules-wise than the rest of the Gargantuans!

The Mammoth looks crazy! I certainly wouldn’t want to mess with it.
The lovely thing about continuous fire blasts is even if it misses its deviation still causes content fire. Turned many a Ret magehunter to ash this way.
The mammoth does look like the time when Babar fell to Khorne. That taught those damn rhinos a lesson….
