It's time to meet the next of the heroes in Myth from Megacon Games as the guys have a look at the Soldier!
If you're a fan of being a mad man running headlong into the fray then the Soldier might be the hero for you boasting a cool rage mechanic and being a proper tank at the same time. You're going to love being in the midst of a mound of monsters!

I think Myth has a lot of potential, I just wish the initial rulebook had been a bit clearer it put off one of our players and now he refuses to give it another go.

….mmmm Even if it´s the miniature that i like the least it sounds fun to play….
The miniature is not too apeeling (nor the female version) but the rage mechanic is great

The Threat – Rage balancing for the Soldier sounds interesting.
Yeah, well, I got a big box of Myth kickstarter goodies just a few days ago…been waiting for it for a looong time, so I was pretty excited. Sadly, quite a few of the minis have bent weapons (and I’m talking seriously bent, like 90 degrees + bent). Don’t really know what do do about that 🙁

I’m not so sure about his skinny girl arms … they suit the artwork but I’m not so sure. I’ll reserve judgement til Romain’s finished with him.

I’ve been playing the soldier a lot and love his rage mechanic, interrupts and attacks. A great hero for new players to get to grip with the game.
This character seems cool, and does draw me in!
I really like the model, the style is different from a lot out there and gives it a quirky feel to it. Looks like a ton of fun

Anyone else notice how the soldier looks like Keith (the artist of Myth) ? What a great bunch of guys.
Those are some mighty big gloves he’s got there… Not the best of the hero minis but still pretty good.

I like the fact that the soldier is not a stereotypical barbarian sort.
In fact, I really like the art direction for the characters in the game.

Normally I don’t like the ‘tank’ role or model, all muscles and no subtlety but this model has loads of character and the mechanics for him sound more interesting.

I like playing all the character types in Myth, but the Soldier appeals to me the most. I seem to enjoy playing tank-type characters, so the Soldier’s ability to wade into a group of opponents, force them all to attack me and then have their attacks do absolutely nothing is very gratifying (although I admit, slightly less when there’s no GM whose face I can see fall in disappointment 😉 ).

BoW is dangerous like this. They show so many awesome games that I then want to buy. Shame my budget doesn’t want the same thing lol.
