I'm playing the Matsudo Tectonics, the samurai lizardmen, whereas John will be facing me down with the corrupted new lives of the New Eden Revenants brought back from beyond the grave to play DreadBall until they are no more.

Quick question – when a slam is declared, should the target declare if they are slamming back (or dodging) before the attacker rolls the dice?
Yes. Declare your response before any dice are rolled.

Cracking game. I have yet to play a game of 2nd ed with my Forgefathers but i’m liking the look of the revenants as a second team.

Yep, out of 365 days to choose from, it’s a fun coincidence 🙂 Would have been way worse, for example, if they had started it during the Star Saga week, and we had to wait monthes, or during the 2018 summer Bolt Action bootcamp, where it would have been just a sideline.

I think the Run Interference could have been used by Sam during John’s rush to prevent the strike attempt. It can be used on the opponent’s turn with the Any Action card. It’s the exception to the normal rules.
Buzzing to play this. Wondering what team to play as. My orx were mega once I had the striker captain. But he had a huge target in his back after a 3 turn win 🙁
I’d like to give Dreadball a go at some point.

Really loved watching this match. I think both of these teams are the most interesting to come out of this “season”. The quick recovery skill for the revenants is awesome. The matsudon team are surprisingly pretty good with that ball for big dudes

Great game guy`s, nice come back in the dying seconds Sam. It just goes to show, the Matsudo may be big and slow, but given half a chance they`ll stomp you into the dirt.
I take it Rob was covering all the bases with his T-shirt changes, but then again who would`nt. On one side you have a Matsudo Hobbit and the other you have a Revenant Tanker.
Great fun to watch! This has definitely increased more interest in this game.
