I love the look of these guys! Very Oni! Much Yokai! They definitely make for some serious baddies. Must resist urge to collect them all…
So far these seem like the faction I would choose. Brutal and have some very well done minis.
they are a bit to evil to me. preachersness are great looking and I wonder if I could somehow use them in warzone r.
oni in space?
Nice! Charge in and hit hard… oh by the way: your armour doesn’t work any more. *Crunch*
I’d like to see these guys in action!
The Dahon just looks amazing. Id get that just to paint and look at and I am not a ‘collector’.
Wow I love the cool design scheme of this faction.
I very much like the look of the factions shown so far. Let’s see a play through!
Just absolutely stunning miniatures. Is there any where to see who’s painted them? They paintjob is just gorgeous.
Let me just post this again..

Dude. Nice work!
Nice! Thanks for the link!
Not quite as brutal as they look, but masters of board control. But oh so beautiful.
that looks like a very fun faction to play
I didn’t think I would like the aesthetic of the Noh until I got the Kasaro To model for SDE. I like how they aren’t the cliched gribbly anime bad guys but draw the classic oni look instead.
Love the look of the faction!!!
The Noh are cool as. I really like the questing knight in the starter box but I can’t seem to find a Relic Knight version of her anywhere, which is a shame!
They look like they would take an airbrush really nicely. Would be quite a nice faction to paint. (Airbrushing red is the most satisfying thing ever, never gonna try and brush something red again as long as I live)
For a faction that initially sounds like a simple smash & grab playstyle, it sounds like it has some nice tricks up its sleeve. The visuals for them aren’t my personal preference, but I’m interested to see how they work on the tabletop.
My second cadre
Zone controle is the Nho way of war. I will stick my immovable object right where you want to be and if you want it, your going to have to come close which is how I like to fight.
With 99% of your options being based on 40mm or bigger you can use your size to controle the chock spots between terrain often forsing you opponent to use valuable activation to go round your rode block all the time you are working towords your own plans
Cool, but I would like to see the game play. Plenty of miniatures I would purchase just to be able to paint.
So many beasties that I don’t feel confident to paint…
I just love the look of those guys. And their playstyle sounds very intriguing. I didn’t have them on my radar for a faction that could start me into this game. But his changed a bit now and they are high up on the list.
Ok. This is cool
yeaaaaaa ! noh empire are cool but the gameplay is not like design expected
I have spoken to some friends that have the Noh starter and the Doctrine starter. They said that the Berserkers where the hardest to get the most out as they are only close combat. I wonder are they getting an updated stat line so they can be more useful?
I personally think the models rock.
I know they switched to resin for their new releases but did they ever sort out the existing plastics? I bought quite a lot of Noh Empire stuff a couple of years ago and the minis are covered in mold lines. I ended up ebaying the lot!
One of the first faction that il chose as part of the kickstarter. I love the models.
maybe not a faction i would play but i would get the minis just to paint. 🙂
I love these models and the faction as a whole suits my playstyle. However, I am not the best painter in the world, and these look as though they would proof quite a challange to me to paint well in order to do the models justice on the tabletop.
Nice looking faction
those are nasty1 I want to get them just to paint them
I love this faction. One faction faction figured out, need one more for the two player bundle. Keep them coming.
I need this in my life 😀
Manga themed game? Check. Japanese themed force? Check.
I usually don’t like the smashy-smashy brute factions, but these sound interesting.
Awesome miniatures, this might be my faction.
Superb miniatures – top notch and the faction looks amazing!! 😀
Oni for the win lol
WOW, theses look awesome especially the Dahon and the Hatriya, very very tempting.
Neat..
I play these guys. They are awesome to paint and brutal.
Bloody awesome. It’s a toss up between Noh and Black Diamond for me.
This and Cerci are for me the 2 coolest factions in the entire game.
very cool, ethereal look in the eyes
I love the internal conflict in the Noh faction.
Personally I’m betting on Mamaro To.
I really enjoy the theme of the Noh Empire. It seems very Samurai-ish.
This faction has some surprisingly strong fiction. Mamaro-To comes off as a surprisingly likeable protagonist in context of the murderous Noh. I bought his model despite not owning the faction based off the story alone.
Tempting very tempting……
The Noh Empire are a strange one for me. I think I would like their play style, and I don’t mind playing the ‘bad guy’ faction. However, even with the idea of them being extra dimensional, they don’t seem to match up aesthetically to my expectations of what Relic Knights is to me right now. I think there is too much a clash between the hi-tech, magic stuff and the Noh’s seemingly steampunk, Sengoku style.
Not feeling this faction. The mini’s look awesome though!
Probably the most beautiful models in the range love the ogre with the flame thrower
I love the look of these guys…they are massive
Noh are the best to paint. They are larger, are visually built on contrast from their concept art, and have big fat features nested in crinkle-nurnies.
Love the sci-fi oni style! Looking forward to seeing a demo game 🙂
Now these look very tempting!
These are cool, you can definately see the historical japanese design style in them.
I can’t wait to see how the activation system works and how that beast screws things up.
I like the style of these oni looking models.
Really nice Minis.
Vicious looking miniatures…..
Non are looking cool loving the beasts
Cool to hear more info about the Noh. Looking forward to more of these!
The nice thing with the Noh is that they can also be used as Oni in other games such as the mythical buntai’s of Ronin
Always wanted to get into the game. I looks so cool and the models always looked nice.
Gorgeous miniatures. Awesome! 🙂
These models especially the Relic Knight itself were the reason I backed the Kickstarter oh so long ago. The other factions have been sold off but I kept these. Superb models. Easy to assemble and a joy to paint.
The priestesses look amazing.
They do look quite awesome. Nice to see there is still enough variety with the warbeasts and priestesses mixed in.
How do you say “noh” to these minis? ;P
I guess you could say they have “noh limits” 🙂
Once again another cool line of models, and these faction profiles are definitely a help in narrowing down which factions interest me the most.
Yeah my first faction.
Love the look of the beasts for these guys, even if I dont play them may pick up a few just to paint
Really like the design of this faction. The one model that wasn’t mentioned that I thought was epic was the one sharing the screen with the Dahon, it looked like it could wreck things, definitely a contender for my faction in this game.
Most awesome faction….Ksaro To is badass. If I won the comp this is the faction I would pick
I’ve never been a fan of the Oni look, but that Dahon… Schwing!
Noh are an odd faction- mostly because the game doesn’t really support melee combat like many games do. That makes them into a real finesse faction- not for the faint of heart.
The musclty demon look makes it seem like they ought to play like your average beat stick faction, but playing Noh like Khorne will get all your guys killed (except maybe Kisaro To himself).
Noh, so much Noh. Sorry, had to.
the Noh look fantastic and those paint jobs are spectacular.
[sings]
There’s NOOOO Empire
Like the NOOOOH Empire
Like NOOO Empire
I KNOOOOOW.
I’m, so sorry.
you’re soo not sorry for that … 😀
Errr, um, nah youre right. NOT SORRY 😀
Ohhh My!…Love these mini’s! What a great themed faction…combines the Oriental Japanese Dark Mythos with Klingons and Predators on the hunt…even splash in some Tyranid gribblies!
Very very cool!…and toting Plasma rifles!
Really Awsome looking studio models, but no, no Noh for me….
I really like the oni look of the Noh
I`ve been looking into the space pirates, and now you go and drop the “Noh Empire” on me. I`m loving the beasts espically the big guy, you guy`s just know how to make life difficult don`t you…………….Gitz
Now i have two factions to drool over, unless you guy`s show another faction that may grab my attention then i`ll have 3 factions to drool over.
The Noh have a unit that synergizes with their beats, allowing back-to-back activation to really take advantage of the queue system. And since they don’t link with a specific beast, if you have multiple beast units on the table, you can keep your opponent guessing right up until you start that turn.
Very nice oni here
Im liking the crazy Oni look here. And that big gunner!
Love Asian culture . The look of the faction is great.I’m not sure if I want them to be my start but there up there
I like the look of these.. could slip them unnoticed into my Journey: Wrath of Demons games.. well, almost
Two videos in. Already want to collect two factions…
That’s what these game weeks do …
I find it is best to lock your wallet in a secure vault before watching anything on this site.
There’s so much shiny stuff.
good but not a preferred faction, that said lovely creatures very tempting
I wanna get these guys for my brother
Best looking faction for me but with playing close combat forces in other games & struggling, I’m hesitant to pick these up.
As they mention in the video, smart play negates that. This is a game that uses a lot of terrain, which coupled with the double move mechanics, means that range is not the champion like it is in other games. A lot of Noh also have ranged attacks or charge movement, giving them greater threat ranges. (oh, and their larger size means they have an easier time traversing terrain. It’s great to catch an opponent off guard when they were thinking a small building or barrier would keep them safe…)
big bads, what else?
I love the shogun / samurai style of these guys, things, aliens…… they’d mangle any opponent… with honor
Oni are intresting to me due to the historical art that the design is taken from. but not much of a brute force players so might not be the option that i look into
They actually require a bit more finesse than you’d expect – I’d say the Corsairs or Black Diamond are more “brute force” factions. The Noh have a lot of units with forced movement actions that allow you to really mess with your opponent’s plans.
I would totally be choosing this faction if I won
Nice looking but I never cared about playing the bad guy.
The red orient like evil faction is being over-done by several games I think.
To be on a mission to kill maim burn and destroy everything in the galaxy.
What else should one need in his life?
You forgot “enslave”.
Gorgeous minis! I love the look of the Noh Empire (well, most of the minis in Relic Knights 🙂 ).
Low armor and healing can make them a bit tough to play against certain factions… i know i did the only time i played with them. Fought a few times agains them and i mostly had problems only with the priestess and Kasaro To of course 😉
I say no to the Noh, they look incredibly badass, just not my style.
dahon and hounds great models
Probably not the faction for me, but I would enjoy playing against them.
It’s cool to see this mix of traditional Oni style with anime sci fi
The Noh Empire is the faction that drew me into the game. I can barely wait for more units and lore.
A buddy of mine runs this faction; very challenging and fun to play against. Again, can’t say enough good things about the minis!
a faction definitely to play alongside another, being stuck into primarily one stye of play isn’t my style, but these guys are cool!
Noooooooooooooh!
I’ve not paid much attention to Relic Knights before this week, and so far the coverage is intriguing me. I may take a plunge into this game….
I’m toying with the idea of choosing this faction, mainly because the miniatures appeal to me more than any other faction.
Looks so promising!!
Looks so promising!!!
Interesting faction, but they see a bit too one note for me.
Oh aye- if I started playing RK, these guys would be my first faction I reckon! Really like that Hound model.
You didn’t say the name of the armoured model that appears at minute 7:16! Who is he?
@elohir
That is the Grand Warlord of the Dragon Fleet, Mamaro To. He’s the leader of the Noh faction, but he when the knights started to appear, he didn’t become one of them. Instead the Slave Master of the fleet, Kasaro To, became the relic knight of the Noh, which also means he’s regarded as favoured by Nozuki. This has created an interesting dynamic between the two.
I see, very cool, thanks! 😉
lovin the look of this faction need to get more of them
This looks like my faction, love the models and the backstory, I’d really like to get my hands on these 🙂
Too many beasts, not enough machines for me. :p I think Black diamonds or the corsairs looksp retty sweet.
Ard as, like the attitude of this faction
These army looks really nice and the mini looks bigger thant the other witch is great
Way do I want every model in this entire range? Anime space oni! The rule of cool is strong with these guys.
I love the Noh minis, probably second faction I will paint.
My favorite faction. They just look badass.
I don’t think I would play them, but they look fun to paint.
Love em, great fluff as well.
Beasties! I like these guys.
In a game when everyone is human I usually opt for the aliens/monsters. They typically have the most interesting models.
Really nice. I like these guys. Intergalactic Slavers.
This is the most atmospheric and most beautiful fraction of all. Models are unusual and amazing. They look like Japanese demons Oni from Yokai tales only release in the Sf theme. The set lacks only the space Usagi Yojimbo. Models have a very similar appearance to the Oni demons of the comic book. I really like the Japanese atmosphere, and this fraction is a great choice to get started with Relic Knights.
my favs
These are a cool looking faction
As I am addicted to oriental things (in wargaming this means Bushido, Yu-Jing, Ten Thunders, Jade Triad, ISC etc.) the Noh Empire would be my first faction of choice.
Nice models but not the faction for me.
Savage looking models…Very inspiring for painting.
For my 2nd faction I went with Cersi but it was a tough call I sometimes wish I went with these guys but I needed a good guy faction for my 2nd so I ended up choosing Cersi.
Love the Noh Empire. Can’t want to see the new stuff.
Interdimensional space demons, a necessary evil.
Reminds me of a Japanese theme.
These guys are so awesome looking and those demon animals things look like they’re gonna do some real damage. I’m not pulled away from the speed circuit yet though
The Noh look pretty intimidating! Love the Kasaro To mini.
The figures look amazing and their play style sounds interesting, but I’m not sure that I want to commit to that much red skin without an airbrush. 0_o
This might be the faction for me. I love the look and even though I tend to play more of the defensive style of armies, I do like the sound of how these guys play. Plus dimensional space monsters just sound cool.
really like the Noh , love the models
I like this faction for how big the models and the Oni look just takes this faction over the top.
These look like a good hard hitting baddies faction to have some fun with.
Very cool faction.
Lovely minis.
Brother G
Wow, these guys remind me of Morat, or the xbox game Akuma (I think that was it). Beautiful look to them.
Nohzuki hounds for the win, tie the enemy down and then smash!
As far as I can figure, the philosophy of the Noh Empire is as follows, “If you are the fool for bringing a knife to a gunfight, then the knife you brought was not big enough…”
This looks fun!
Love the look of this faction, and I think it might fit my playstyle quite nicely
Thanks for the show!
This faction has such nice blend of Asian mythology and all around badarse sculpts.
Captivating 🙂
These are right up my street as they say. I think this is another game I will be adding to my collection help a guy out beasts
Minis are great and painting is awesome but its my least favourite faction
I like the backstory of the faction. Extra dimensional slavers can’t be that bad, right? And the warbeasts look awesome.
space oni
Wow stunnig paintjob, probably i would choose this guys as one of my faction
At first I wasn’t sold on this faction, but they look great and sound interesting to play.
Neat concept and cool monsters. I’m curious to see how teleportation is worked into their playstyle.
Hate to say it but this is definitely not my faction, noting about them does it for me from the minis to the factions play style I personally don’t like them.
Surely this is my faction!
Oh boy
there are some rly great sculpts.
