Taking all of the mechanics and techniques we’ve learned we set up a fight between the Spanish & English Pirate Hunters.

So awesome…my flgs just got in a bunch of Blood and Plunder stuff
Ooh – who’s that?
I love the idea of ship-to-ship melee garnished with a spatter of cannon fire!
I’m wondering how ships from other manufacturers would work.
This could be a fun game
If this doesn’t get yer saber rattlin’… nothin’ will.
I was hiding behind a barrel just watching that boarding action. Although they played only two turns, my guess is that turn three would have been decisive. Great video guys.
Finally, a dice tray, well, dice boat.
For video purposes, at least, and since some of the units can be used on a number of factions, maybe snap-on, colored, dice rings as seen in a number of board games, might be the way to go to differentiate the sides.
The ships are great looking and very usable for gaming!
very interesting mechanics, a battle with more than 2 ships will be epic!!
cant wait to board ships for some cinematic battles
This is definitely a winner.
I would love to play a game like this one!
wish you finished off the battle
so many options with tis game
Ooh ship battles. now to replay Piet Hein’s capture of the treasure/silver fleet
Lovely game. I really like it.
great ship on ship action, I have a for a number of years been looking for fun set of pirate rules a nd these seem to fit the bill
This is amazing, its a tabletop version of Sid Meier’s Pirates if anyone remembers it? Great game and I can feel the nostalgia watching this 🙂
How well does this game work scale wise for the weapons of the time? Cannons, muskets, ship to ship combat, ship speeds. Are the ranges at which action takes place realistic (often not the case with 28mm games I know).
It looks great, wonder if I can get my flgs into it…
Just looks AWESOME!
awesome, ship to ship combat give more opportunities for fun and great games.
Is it just me that’s giggling every time they “take a leak”? 😀
Seriously though, I’m loving the look of this game, it seems to capture the feeling of the period really well. And I have to say – the table is a winner, it makes me want to find room to build one.
Might have been better to focus more on the ship stuff. That mostly looked like 2 line sof guys shooting at each other. It hinted at more though. Could possibly have used a bigger table and more ships. But i was distracted with painting.
Yehah the great moment comes!!
I’ve got to get a second ship now
Such a great game. Backed the first KS and went all in on this one also.
I liked the sailing demo right at the end. It would be fun to see a game with more maneuver and cannon fire
This is the segment that I was waiting to see and it is awesome. This is reason enough to get the game.
For all that lovely ship on ship action… most exciting part was learning you can accidentally ram your ship into the rocks XD
Great gaming table.
Sigh, I need two factions and two ships. It’s not going to be cheap 🙂
The game looks fantastic, and those are some serious center piece models to own.
Roll on the Galleon.
The ship manoeuvres look great.
OK this is absolutely amazingness, I need pirates in my life….arghhhh and now I need a rum to settle my gaming shiny nerves 😛
Very cool stuff.
Is there a minimum number of crew required for either of the advanced ship maneuvers?
Every video makes me want the game more and more.
This reminds me of when i was playing 7th sea, even though it was a ccg.
THIS is what it is all about 🙂
Kickstarter just broke $100k!! Congrats to Firelock Games!
Absolutely love the scale on the ships. Plus, the game seems pretty interesting with the wind movement mechanic. I’m a big fan of these kinds of naval battles.
@dignity have you been out in the sun or are there red lights on your head. You look like you have been out here in Oz on the beach there !
The ships look amazing, both the models and the gameplay. They really seem like a must get.
Just got my sloops and long boats , can’t wait to start getting all piratey on those Spanish and get my sea dogs to send them to the locker
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr! Shiver me timbers!
Its time to grow a beard. Sharpen my cutlass. Challange the high seas. And Plunder!! Love every aspect of this game!
Its like playing Pirates! in 3D. No computer required.
just love this game
If I didn’t want 2 galleons before (and I did) I need 2 galleons now! Amazing.
Seabattles are what I really like in this game, for once it does not seem OP
I want all the ships.
Absolutely awesome battle report and tutorial! It looks so much fun!
This is the good stuff!
Ok that looked pretty awesome and fun. Deadly also.
I am so looking forward to having a full setup to play this game. Also looking forward to the multiplayer rules they will be coming out with.
mmmm boarding actions
Every video makes this game more impressive!!
That was fun to follow along with. Those ship models just look fantastic.
This is looking better and better!
It almost looked like there wasnt enough room for ship battle. Its surprising how maneuverable the ships are. Clearly a lot of success will go into setup. I wish they showed how initial placement and wind direction was determined.
I love the setting of this game. After 30 years I’ve still got the map of the Caribbean memorised from Pirates! on the C64.
Where can I get this in europe ?
Ship to ship battles look immense!
I love all the extra videos showing how to play. We have gotten a couple games in but this is nice additional details
Great to see this. Only tried the land battle so far.
Looks stunning!
Awesome!!!
This stuff looks sweet!
I wonder how many sailors are needed to man all the guns from a galleon. Are we going to see blisters of medium guns during this KS?
I wonder how converted toy ships would fit in this? I’m thinking that a European cog versus Barbary pirates could be quite epic.
Really love the look of this game. I’m in Japan and reading One Piece, so this may be the perfect fit!
Really loving this system, so glad the new KS offers the older stuff too!
This shows that having the smaller ship isn’t the disadvantage you might think that it would be!
The balance in this game has been well thought through.
That table is off the charts!!!!! This game is so bad ass. #blood&plunder#iwant#thebestnewgameof2017
The ship vs ship battles look awesome.
Great game. Hope to start seeing in stores
i want this game now
Loving Blood and Plunder week!!
Love it, ship to ship action at last. i like how the mechanics of boarding work. I can see a few game`s in which both sides board each other`s ship in the same turn, then it`s every man for himself (or Woman, if the guy`s are doing any that is).
There was only one thing missing, and that was the “Broadside” of a “Galleon”.
You have to have the guy`s back next year, once the “Blood and Plunder” kick starter pt 2 has been released. Then we can see how two Galleon`s face of against each other, or even how they handle two smaller ships coming at them.
Can not wait to get a brigantine.
The galleon is surprisingly good looking.
Has the question been already been asked as to the order of ship movement if as a player is left with fewer than three units? And could a ship go through a “un-grappled” action even if there was still enemy units aboard?
Man I need this game in my life! Ow well, maybe once I’ve finished my bolt action and Saga projects I can get the cash together to get involved.
Cool to see how fast ship to ship battles can change from long range fire and maneuvering to close quarter combat. I’m just wondering if you’re still able to shoot your cannons when you’re in combat.
Loving the look of Blood & Plunder, reckon my kids would enjoy it as well. Would be nice to get them into a game where the historical accuracy is sort of built in.
ship vs ship in 28mm scale is very cool
This is one of the coolest games ever. I not only LOVE the gameplay, but also the time period is my favorite historical period! Keep it up guys!
Game is looking awesome. If I had spare cash to start another system, this would be it.
Great looking game and the game mechanics seem really straight forward, I would love to get into this.
This looks awesome!
looks kike a fun time
Those ship battles feel really good, much better than other naval battles I played in the past!
The ships, figs and terrain fill the hole in me pirate heart. 🙂
I love the way the game supports so many different types of combat.
Yes ship to ship and boarding actions, just like those pirate movies of old
Not the most portable of games but boy does it look good
Looks like fun! Better get my ships painted up!
For no other reason, this is why I want this game.
The ship-ship combat is fantastic!
Pirate ship battles – epic
I’m looking forward to capturing some nice prizes while on thee account.
This is the second Blood & Plunder contest I am entering. I would love to start playing this system. The ship to ship combat stuff should be great.
When and where do they post the winners? I tried finding the winners for the first contest I entered 2 months ago, but could not.
Peace
Man this game looks awesome I’ve been looking for a new game system to get into and this ticks all the boxes who doesn’t love ships and pirates they just look amazing, and great job on all these videos.
I would love to give this system a try. As thunderl asked already, is there a definitive place to check back for prize winners? While, I’m sure it won’t be me, it would be nice to be certain.
