Over here Halloween lacks any sort of cultural background. At best there’s going to church.
So no trick or treat history, although in some regions Saint Martin’s has a similar tradition, but not with costumes AFAIK.

As such it is like the recent trend for ‘Octoberfest’ parties. It lacks the soul that these things have in other countries and becomes an excuse to drink lots of beer for no reason at all. I can drink beer all year anyway (if I liked that stuff that is) so *meh* and I’m no fun with alcohol anyway.

Besides … I already got an excuse to dress up (Carnaval) , but unlike Halloween that’s more focused on fun and less on ‘scary’ stuff. I guess not being a fan of horror isn’t helping. LOL

I’ve already filled my shopping cart in the warlord webstore … now all I need to do is wait for my voucher to arrive by mail.
I’m also feeling tempted to buy Orky stuff this month for some reason (I blame @mage and GW ;-)).

I read about that Banksy auction thing. LOL I do wonder if they were in on it, because you’d think they’d notice the weight of the piece and the fact that it needed power …
The people with more money than sense need to be pranked like that. Next time he should have it burn so it becomes really impossible to restore. It really is like the fairy tale about the Emperors’ new clothes.

It also reminds me of a story where drawings by monkeys/children had been placed in a gallery and all the critics thought they were master pieces. That and artists claiming a peanut butter floor as ‘art’ to me mean that I’ve got zero respect for artists and critics. I do however dig the art used in games. That kind of stuff feels like it is more worth preserving than any of the so called ‘modern art’ that is in museums.

This is the limited edition rulebook that was part of the blood&plunder kickstarter :

That’s 2-3 cm thick with nice heavy paper. It feels like a book from the era.
And the metal corners make it look great. Soo shiny … 😀

I can’t wait to see what these guys will do in their iron&oak kickstarter.
