After talking to people it seems this is forgotten.

Project Apollo is still ongoing and will be for some time to come.

The Saturn V rockets was about getting there and most importantly delivering scientific equipment packages with some being powered by atomic batteries that will last for centuries.

One of the current facts by ongoing Apollo is that the moon is roughly 6 ft further away from us than when Apollo 11’s Eagle lander touched down.
