define “unique” … because this being CGL anything can be a reason for delays.
I do have at least one of the dropships IIRC. Definitely have the starter set boxes and a lot of the rules (except for the strategic level bits).I wouldn’t expect them to accellerate shipping either, because it feels like they’ve got to undo a lot of the chaos that CGL has created by working in waves.
I mean … can you imagine the hub having to check which wave someone’s pledge is in before completing it despite having everything in stock ?
And as I said. CGL made this hideously complex by having pretty much all of battletech to pick from everything (that’s what it felt like).
February 28, 2025 at 5:35 am #1917623I guess the large, expensive items could be a reason for hold up by the fulfilment centre. “Do small parcels first, easier to pack”
Hope yours gets to you soon.
February 28, 2025 at 11:18 am #1917637I’ve got Dark Objects and Port Royal incoming … (the former already in country at customs and the other ‘en route’, both from the USA).
I’m pretty sure I will other kickstarters before this one ships.
I’m simply not motivated enough to really care about it enough to actively look for the tracking mail.I trust the folk at the hub to do their best with the information and stock they got.
I simply don’t trust CGL to have given them the information they need to be effective. With the way they’ve been shipping small pledges it is pretty obvious that the thing they were waiting for all the time was the mercenaries box itself (or maybe the posters or something else all of them have in common). The only other thing that keeps coming back is that CGL may have financial issues which caused QML & co to delay doing anything until they got paid.
As I’ve said before : I really hope CGL do a post mortem on this one and tell us about it.
Because I’ve got a feeling that they’re digging holes to fill another hole …February 28, 2025 at 11:27 am #1917638got my notification and when I check the tracker it’s all stuck in at awaiting ticket, 5 days waiting for a label to be printed, so do not care anymore
March 6, 2025 at 12:35 am #1918515at least you got a notification … I got nothing.
OTOH … my Port Royal pledge is somewhere en route between USA and Europe (I hope).
Travel time is real long, but then the chaos caused by the orange fruitcake are unlikely to be helping things.March 6, 2025 at 5:25 am #1918526Still nothing? Oh man. I’m sorry to hear that. I’d really thought they would finally get their sh*t together.
March 6, 2025 at 2:45 pm #1918539nah, if CGL had their ‘sh!t together’ none of this would have happened.
Stuff like the extra paperwork they had to give to customs when the ship landed in the EU tells me everything I needed to know about their incompetence.I think that they are in deep financial troubles and are not telling us.
The only reason they are afloat at all is because Battletech itself is popular enough that the periodic sales stop them from drowning. And given that the orangs baby is implementing tariffs … chances of their profit margin getting smaller keep growing by the minute.I really really hope that GameQuest doesn’t need CGL for anything at this stage and they’re just having to make do with the chaotic documentation they got.
March 6, 2025 at 6:25 pm #1918566Pumping out KS after KS does indicate a company that might have financial problems.
March 6, 2025 at 7:07 pm #1918576No kidding – CGL seems to be running a corporate level Ponzi scheme at this point. Shame, really. If they had just done realistic instead of explosive growth goals, they’d be in a much better place…
March 7, 2025 at 5:45 am #1918636March 7, 2025 at 9:44 pm #1918762They wouldn’t have had a need to hire a professional bullsh!t artist if they had their act together …
Transparency is easy when your process is documented and structured in a logical manner.
(btw: you’d be surprised how many companies are held together with duct tape, excel sheets, a few old timers with institutional knowledge and a lot of luck.)
I’d also argue that to run a Ponzi scheme one has to have a brain. CGL does not appear to have one.

No, not really surprised. it’s even worse when it comes to IT background in most companies.
March 9, 2025 at 9:56 pm #1918883@sundancer that’s because you’ve been on the inside …
Anyways … let’s wait and see what glorious news we’re going to get on next tuesdays’ update.
I think it’s a repeat of last weeks’ message claiming they are still at x% of EU pledges sent with no additional updates for the folk in Australia or anywhere else in the world.
They might even sneak in an announcement of yet another kickstarter if they’re really feeling stupid.
March 11, 2025 at 8:34 pm #1919232Frostpunk RPG KS launches on the 20th March.
Yep, they are looking more and more like a company circling the drain.
I jumped on to Voltron for $1 to warn folks and they didn’t listen.
So now i’m just going to stand well back and watch folks lose money. KS is a sh*t show.
March 11, 2025 at 8:45 pm #1919233nah, KS is not the problem.
Companies like CGL are the problem.

Another update … and still no real info.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cgl/battletech-mercenaries/posts/4334773
I’d say the worst part is that they’re still faffing around with their ‘new’ webshop … I think that’s more than a month now.
UK is ‘complete’ (according to CGL that is).
EU is at 65% for wave 1 & 2, because for some reason we have a wave 3 too … and things are ‘slowing down’ due to ‘bigger’ pledges being sent out. This kind of ‘confirms’ our speculation that they were doing small pledges first.
