Did more work on the Brutes since with layers, washed and a couple of highlights on their teeth and weapon hafts bone decorations

 

Im starting the end of the metal and it’s drying now and awaiting a wash and edge highlight.

Finished the teeth and bones, and have one final highlight on the metal. Then it’s the weapon wraps. I have one day left of Orktober to finish the ten brutes. Two colours and the bases after that…

 

ill continue the project into November to finish the army with the Shaman, four more models: 3x Goregruntas and a Gargant (giant).

Ok, I am doing the weapon straps do differentiate squads and provide a spot colour and a little contrast. I’ve done the whole basecoat, layer, layer, wash on one. Im not going to do a second highlight as I do not want it too stark or bright or to draw attention away from the rest of the model. I think the muted tones suit them and quite frankly the extra edge highlight isn’t necessary and is a pain in the butt.

 

The second strong squad has the straps drying and will then get a wash.

Well, Orktober comes to a close. A salute to everyone that made this an interesting thread. We made Orktober great again lol. Roll on Orktober 2020! Although sod knows what I’ll do next year!

Yeah Ive no more painting in me today, but I echo @deaddave ‘s sentimend and Ill post pictures tomorrow. However, I will continue my Ironjawz army. I think it is too small in total to do a project log so I will post up a thread.

The end of the month is here. So long Orktober. It was fun for when we had you. We look forward to your return next near.
