I remembered about the PaintComp today and decided that I had a suitable miniature so painted up a Stosstruppen Feldkaplan.  I’ve not got going with the minis I thought I’d be doing this week but I’ll get on to them next.

I’ve got a game of Saga and then Scythe later in the week so may not get too much done.  Anyone else gaming this week?

*laughing and trying to catch his breath after watching the meme laden video a couple times*

Ok everyone, once more the internet makes for wonder and gives some levity. It also has music.

I look forward to when @sundancer and @avernos do their thing this week but if we lack the wookie we all know he’s rocking out in his underwear like a certain 80s film depicted. This is likely his soundtrack for when he throws his hands up and gives in to his extraterrestrial urges.

    *nervous eye twitching*

It’s Monday morning and way to early for this kind of video XD

I hate Carnevale! That’s a lie! Sort of. Problem is that I think the miniatures are amazing and I want them all. So in effect I hate the fact that it makes me want to buy everything!

I’m still working my way through the kickstarter I backed years ago, but I’m finally making progress because I’m using it as a setting for an RPG and don’t like using unpainted miniatures.

Recently I bought some Doctors, but ‘Blood Bartering’ is calling to me…

TTCombat do have some amazign miniatures within their ranges. They really know how to make one go ‘hmm’ 😀
(and my wallet scream … )

    Monkey Pirate Wrestlers anyone ?
    Running Aground

    Mr. Sock …
    Mister Sock

@pagan8th did you spot the ‘complete gang’ logo on some of the sets ?
Not sure how those are different from the other sets, but it is a nice idea.

    I’ve been good.
    No minis bought yet.

I did add a few KoW 4th edition bits to my Mantic shopping cart, but I haven’t clicked the ‘buy it’ button (yet).

Music … time to travel back in time to when things were good:

@limburger there are gang construction rules. You must have a leader and no more heroes than henchmen. (I think that’s the case, going from memory).

Complete Gang In A Box means that the contents can be fielded as a gang without adding any other miniatures.

The other boxes are used to expand a gang and add variety.

Good morning lads, lasses and everybody else.

You know what is fun? Reading the RSS feed from OTT. Why? Because is usually reads what the people posted on the first try. Before any edits and redactions. Similar to forum notifications but for comments on the site.

And oh boy have I seen some spicy texts. What’s is going on? Are we all “so on edge”? Is life taking a toll on many users? Calls for blocking and reporting users.

I always felt like OTT was a calm place to be but it seems like a few bad apples spoil the cake for many others and the only reason why I’m not seeing as much is probably down to my not getting subtle wordplays and hints. The language barrier acts like a filter.

I’m pretty sure the wrong people will feel addressed because those who should feel addressed are usually too thick in the head to realise but please people: be nice.

I’ll grab myself a coffee now.

I do edit my posts, but usually it means I made a spelling, or gramatical error that I didn’t spot before hitting submit.

If I ever did say something inappropriate… then when rational thought returned, I tried to dispose of the evidence.

Ah nerd drama! Between the Temu thread and the block user requests there do seem to be some tensions lately.

Anyway life’s too short to worry about disagreement on a hobby forum!

I got a belated Christmas present yesterday from a friend I haven’t seen in a couple of months and he’s only gone and given me a set of Artis Opus brushes! So I’ll be setting aside some hobby time this evening to give them a whirl.

what’s life online without drama ?

    boring … that’s what 😉

as @sundancer said during the hobbyhangout. Once communities get beyond a certain size they will inevitably attract non-fun folks.

I think OTT has been pretty lucky so far.

Anyways … after quite a bit of swear words I’ve managed to sort of assemble the rack I had bought from the blue/yellow store.
I say ‘sort of’ because I technically need 2 more shelves to complete the core structure (also known as : the final step if you follow instructions).
With the help of ‘AI’ I’ve managed to construct a concept of a plan. As always the thing had no concept of real world measurements, so I have some actual measurements to do before visiting the local DIY shop for wood. I think I will also be ordering some pre-cut MDF, which is why I need to be exact in my measurements as things won’t fit.

Anyways … I’m on to phase 2 of that project, because why finish one thing if you can start another one, right ?
Technically still the same project, so that’s my excuse 😛
I probably should update my project on the OTT website as well.

    This is the end.

More music is good music. With inspiration from the raga veena and the Indian influence on 60s rock.

    Traditional Korean gayageum

Chinese guzheng for a change. The General might be a cat.

Japanese shamisen and the classic tune Tsugaru. It was once played by the Yoshida Brothers for the Nintendo Wii commercial
