Finished my garage re-organization. Took most of the weekend. My garage is deep – two vehicles long, not wide, plus it has an extra storage nook at the back; make some room. Added wall organization to move stuff around, bicycle wheel hooks to get my two of them off the ground and better stored, and threw away a surprising amount of stuff. Still need to sort out 10-year old house paint (write down the codes, take the cans to the firehall for disposal). And recycle more boxes that are probably never to be used again.
I am tired…

I don’t have a garage.
I’ve got a shed … but I think it is starting to serve the same function. *eep*
Best not think too much about that and get it sorted (as and when I get my motivation and energy).

So I had ordered some pre-cut wood and the important bits were delivered on saturday.
However because you order that stuff in entire plates (sp?) you get the option to have the off cuts as well.
That package was missing from the original delivery, so it scheduled for a later delivery and because I wasn’t at home it got delivered to a neighbour. The annoying thing is that all I got was an email telling me they had handed it to a neighbour.
And then there’s this awkward bit where you have to collect it and hope the person that got the package is at home too …

I’m glad that I got the important bits so it’s not that important to get it, but I’d rather have it in my hands without too much effort.

It’s not my flock up… this time…

Had a new combi boiler fitted last weekend and there was a minor leak that has been fixed and it’s working fine now.

Noticed a damp patch in the kitchen that I thought was residual from a splashback when the water was turned back on again.

Pulled the carpet tiles up to dry them out and looked under cupboard… there was a drip… further investigation reveals that the stop tap is leaking now. There was a lot of a swearing!

Contacted the plumber and waiting for response.

In the meantime I have emptied the cupboard under the sink where the stop tap is, removed the back panels… sprayed mould killer on the black mould that loves damp outer walls.

Now I’m taking a short break after a snack lunch before I get medieval on the mould.

Today I was going the seal the tiles I bought for Marvel Crisis with PVA solution. Plans change.

… they were supposed to replace the smart meter today but no one showed up.
So I think I’d check their website and reschedule … and despite checking 16-3 (aka monday) I get a confirmation mail stating ‘today’, which would require quite a bit of time travelling.

Lots of swear words and curses were uttered that’s for sure, because I had to miss a meeting about ‘AI’ at work because of this sh!te.

I finally managed to pick up the package that had been left at a neighbour further up the street.
So now I got all the wood I had ordered.
