Made a start on the tartan troosers fir ma wee noisey man.
Went a bit “bye bye baby”, but he’ll be more “pretty vacant” by the end.
September 21, 2019 at 12:54 am #1438359Ezzat the Lich from galeforce nine’s d&d collector’s series. With this one finished i am at 409 models painted this year. Its been a pretty productive year so far. The original goal was 365 but now I just going to see how much I can get done.
September 21, 2019 at 10:21 am #1438415Recently completed some Skaven plaugemonks to be used for Saga. Basis using contrast paints, then worked up using conventional paints.

The whole little group;

I also completed a test figure for Victrix Carthaginian spears using LBMS transfers for the shield and contrast paints as a starting point. Rather pleased with the outcome, considering the time it took to paint it.
September 21, 2019 at 2:34 pm #1438464Well this pretty much brings my 40k weekender project to a close with these last two models… Well done for now I am sure more is coming.

September 21, 2019 at 3:20 pm #1438466@duster really well done. Love the alert look in his eyes, like he just heard footsteps in the darkness.
@dogma2097 you do realize that you are mad, sir, do you not? Jaw dropping, absolutely jaw dropping freehand and you’re not even finished. Going to enjoy watching this one.
@chaosgorka so impressed with both your quantity and quality of painting. Inspiring.
@janus1004 Always such clean, crisp work. The Carthaginian is perfect.
@laughingboy It has been fun watching you churn through these pieces. I never would have even tried assembling the Slaanesh Lawn Mower so props for seeing through. Your stuff, as usual, looks great. What a great parent/child project.
September 21, 2019 at 9:21 pm #1438570@chaosgorka congrats for maintaining the willpower and that level of accuracy to carry you through to this point. Really inspiring stuff!
September 22, 2019 at 12:22 am #1438646@dogma2097 That tartan is amazing.

Selling these guys. Decided to have fun painting them first though. Painting the tiny stars was a fun challenge. Zvezda are great for price, I enjoyed painting these Soviets and the details are great. I realised they have been built for ages, but I have never played with them. If I do play Soviets in Tanks I will get the GF9 Tanks. Zvezda came up slightly smaller in comparison to the starter set Shermans and expansions I have.

Meet Skegg the Oak and his warband of freebeasts, some of which have been painted quite a while, the marmot was the model that hooked me on the range in the first place.

September 22, 2019 at 10:17 pm #1438916And because it all happened 75 years ago:
September 24, 2019 at 2:32 am #1439362Last week I was told my youngest niece was coming over on Friday night. Got two D&D miniatures on Thursday for us to paint together, a Drow Priestess for me, and a big old angel for her.

Friday morning I heard the visit was cancelled, and this was after I primed them by hand because the nozzle on my airbrush broke off. I swear I’m not making that last bit up. Anyways, here’s the Priestess done:

Sorry for the flash, hopefully, I’ll do better when the Angel’s done.
