It was a big painting weekend for myself. In between marvel and star wars projects I made a bit of time to paint Lady Harrow’s Mournflight for myself.

November 26, 2019 at 11:48 am #1460133November 26, 2019 at 7:02 pm #1460235Day Ten of my journey into the world of 1938 A British Civil War and today it is the turn again of the Anglican League. The Anglican league was the first real effective opposition to the King and Moseley at the beginning of the civil war, defending Kent from the British Union of Fascists in Kent and the Bishop of Bath and Wells leading a campaign in the Vale of Evesham against the Royalist Army of the Severn.
This guy is from one of the many volunteer mounted units that fought with the various factions, these are Sir Cyril Stanley’s Horse. These are a hard fighting unit uniformed in the Anglican League blue uniforms

November 26, 2019 at 10:14 pm #1460277Some armour for my 4th Indian infantry for Bolt Action. The Matilda II, queen of the desert. Not 100% finished with some touch ups, decals and a final drybrush missing….but anyhow, ‘ere we go.

November 26, 2019 at 10:52 pm #1460288November 26, 2019 at 11:14 pm #1460291Thanks! Their paint scheme was inspired by the colours of your mechs in Mechcommander Gold on the PC which was my introduction to the battletech franchise as well as both my first PC game and Battletech game.
And yes I did back the recent Clan boxed set kickstarter campaign ?
November 27, 2019 at 11:09 am #1460403@thedace that is the most epic Lloyd shot yet!
November 27, 2019 at 9:46 pm #1460649Day Eleven of the tour of the world of 1938 A Very British Civil War and it is the turn of the British Union of Fascists again. The BUF managed to raise a number of Legions, in truth not more at company level but some where much larger, across the UK in defence of the realm, Parliament and the King. These chaps in there black shirts of the Action Press uniforms struck across the land but not these where bully boys and jackbooted thugs, some where but because of the Fascist politics which many saw as very un-British.
This chap is of one of the Scottish Legions and is a special man. Very much into a healthy life and mind, Barr gillie believed in promoting an active life and loved to where shorts regardless of the weather.
November 28, 2019 at 6:13 pm #1460901Day 12 of the journey into 1938, A Very British Civil War and today it is the turn again of the Albertine forces. Prince Albert landed his initial force in South West of England and a number of the local Local Defence Forces and Militias gathered around Prince Albert’s flag and cause. As the Albertines’ where a late coming to the war they found it hard to gather the support they would of thought they would of got but the support did come in the shape of these local militias.
This picture illustrates the typical, poorly equipped nature of some of the militias and this chap has brought has farming equipment and shotgun to the battle.
November 28, 2019 at 11:48 pm #1460948Just too much incredible stuff to comment on all since my last post but I must give a shout out to @thedace for that great “Lloyd” shot.
I finished the painting and windows in both my warehouses as well as a set of walls. Lots more pictures of those on the project blog:
Started painting the final member of my Scylla gang and one of her lethal felines. These should go quickly.
