Been working some sailing ships. First HMS Victory from Warlord.

I did as much of the rigging as I could – took about three days and I about went blind! I had the acetate rat lines attached but they look aweful. In the professional photos on the Warlord website, they look great. In real life. they look like shiney bits of plastic stuck to your meticulously painted ships.
For comparison, Blackbeard’s Revenge frigate and a Galleon from Oak and Iron.

As is everyone else’s to be fair.
Been doing stuff for 9th Edition, I would say new edition new army but I’ve never played 40k so it’s more like new edition new army new game. Crusade got me convinced coupled with the 50 power starting point.
First up is the Squigbuggy! Got to love those Greenskins ?

Moving onto the actual Orks for now…that’s a lot of black and red to paint ?
July 22, 2020 at 12:52 pm #1552388Another foray into the mid 18th century woods of North America with these Anglo-American Rangers for the FIW. Beautiful figures by Galloping Major which were a real pleasure to paint. Take a look.

July 22, 2020 at 8:40 pm #1552494I used a bunch nurgle marines as test pieces to get this yellow method down, they came out so nicely I promoted them to an actual project, albeit a small one, these will form part of a starbreach team. waker is done, vehicle thingie is still WIP
July 23, 2020 at 12:04 am #1552537Thank you @teddymademedoit highly appreciated.
As you, I haven’t ever played any 40k, but your meat wagon looks really fast ( I guess this why it needs to be red 😉 )

July 24, 2020 at 1:02 pm #1552885Hey guys, got a Viking Shieldmaiden done not so long ago and even tried my hand at a bit of a video tutorial too.

July 24, 2020 at 7:44 pm #1553041@noyjatat outstanding work there. One can’t go wrong with a Hasslefree mini but you really brought it to life.
I’ve got a tray of stuff waiting for spray sealant. It is such a wide mix of ranges and genres I decided just to show them all at once. I will get individual sets up as soon as I detail the bases.
July 24, 2020 at 9:13 pm #1553066@144artist thank you buddy.
They are looking great. I have to do a Ragnar at some point soon as well,so will be nice to return to the Hasslefree Minis 🙂

July 25, 2020 at 4:22 pm #1553179Here are some closer pics of the Hasslefree Minis Wrestler figure. I had finished the entire figure, with lots of time on the sugar skull, and set it aside to await sealant when I notice the base needed a little clean up. I picked him up, carefully touched up the rim of the base, set him back down only to realize then that I had a big blob of tan paint on my thumb. Fortunately it had missed touching most of the figure… except the face which was now a tan smear. Tried cleaning it off but in the end I had to repaint the entire thing. All said and done, it probably came out better with the second paint job but it hurt. So here he is, my own little, Luche libre, Muertos!
