Sally 4th’s “Rising Tides” Spy-Fi KS recently started, so I thought I’d give ’em a shout since I backed a previous project of theirs.

Got some preview models to paint, although the sewers are from Archon’s “Dungeons and Lasers” KS.

KS includes a freakin’ submarine dock, speedboats, submersible car, Soviets, and attractive CIA agent.

I’m done with my latest commission… damn rush job. Now I can get onto Orktober and my Saga force.

• Vallejo Transparent Blue works damn well on transparent parts like this Nolzur’s model from WizKids for D&D

• Black 2.0 from Culturehustle is a little delicate; I dinged the one base slightly. It might be best to prime black and then seal before going back with this paint if a very flat matte finish is desired.

 An old Grenadier(?) model that will be used as a cleric of Ahti (Finnish god of the sea). Let somebody loose onto the 2nd ed. D&D Deities and Demigods book and see what happens?

• Woodland Scenics wave effect has a shelf life. After letting the material sit on the base it settled to being merely ripples. If you buy it be sure to use it quickly

The inspiration for Rising Tides Kickstarter was the 1977 Bond Movie, The Spy Who Loved Me. That big battle in the container ship has been crying out to be gamed for the last 44 years and now everything needed is available!

Finished up the rotund Friar Flavius yesterday! Was actually a really fun fella to paint! Tried a few new things out, most notably a new flesh workup whcih turned out ok I think. Moonstone plog here  for further pics and the rest of the Moonstone done so far

Ragnarok Miniatures Kickstarter. I got a small pledge with dwarves and draugr and it fulfilled well before the expected date. Now that Ragnarok 2 is out I got the itch to paint some of these up

I primed the draugr in black with a zenith of Army Painter Leather Brown. I just figured that would be a strong starting point. Then I dry brushed the 8 minis in Zandri Dust and decided on the next step.

Cryptek Armourshade was great for the chainmail and the rest was just dark age zombie painting fun.

Not necessarily new, but I put on a finishing touch by rebasing these guys. 1st Royal Guards RCT of the Lyran Commonwealth and a Timber Wolf of the Wolf Clan, Alpha Galaxy. The Timber Wolf still needs decals.

Quite possibly my favorite Mech, the starting Mech from Mechwarrior 3, the Bushwacker. Here it’s in the livery of the Eridani Light Horse, 2nd Star League, Operation Serpent, Task Force Morgan.

4th Skye Rangers, Lyran Commonwealth. Still needs some more decals (back ordered) and I plan on doing something with that hatchet but otherwise done. 1 Hatchetman, 2 Rommel/Patton tracked tanks and 4 Condor hover tanks.
