I’m glad to have finished these guys, had them sat at my desk for a long time. Next will be the Ultramarines I have sat here. Thats 7 minis. After completion I’m allowed to get building more stuff!!

@seldon9 yes it is. Following a somewhat turbulent year I have recently started seeing someone new. As I am currently on my arse because of solicitors fees and other separation related costs I have had to get creative this year in terms of Christmas presents; this is hers. She loves fairytales and princesses and that sort of thing so hopefully this will look good in her house or in her office. She’s aware of my circumstances and has instructed me not to buy her anything so she’s probably not expecting a great deal – hopefully this will exceed expectations. I will post feedback and reaction in a separate post on the project before I mark it complete.

So the Space Wolf project continues apace. I’ve gotten Stirland Battlemire down on all the regular Marines I have left to do, and decided to put them with the others in the queue to get an idea of what I have left to paint….

After that decided to spend the rest of the day getting Njial Stormcaller painted up. Blocked in the base colours:

And then hit with an all-over wash of Aggrax:

Now I have been subscribing to the same philosophy that Justin mentioned in this weeks XLBS of getting minis painted to a standard that you are happy looks good on the tabletop, and Njial here certainly fits that, but I’ve a few things more I want to do to him – the cyber-raven needs washes of Badab Black & Nuln Oil, and the pelts I have some more washes I want to apply. After that I’m debating trying to paint the eyes & runes with a glow effect. Will have to have a think a bout that one…..
