It's Battle Report time once again for the Infinity Miniatures Game as we up the ante to 300 Points and see the fearsome Killian battling against the unstoppable Carlos from Corvus Belli.
We've got a few new models in the mix to add some spice to the game as we feature the HUGE Maghariba Guard from Haqqislam and the Guijia from Yu Jing.

I think the big battle report at the end of the week, was the thing I was most looking forward to at the end of this Infinity week.

Not that I am against Yu Jing in general, but those perky party pawns with their o.p. loadouts must be shown a lesson in humility. And offensive humanitarianism.
I love these Infinity weeks that builds up to a big 300 point game.
I’ve only tried 300 points once (200 tends to be my level).
What is the largest point game anyone has played?
200 is the largest that I’ve gotten to as well.
I have a lot of factions but only about 200 points of assembled and painted… 🙂

Wow, that’s an incredible terrain for demo games.
But for playing serious it’s not so good, because there aren’t tall structures to block LoS; in a table like that, the faction with more Sniper Rifles will win, because his oponent will have very hard time getting cover.
Great fight – love the intensity in this battle raport – a must watch for sure for every scifi fans out there. Maghriba is rad beyond standard ! Go go HQIslam !!

At least Carlos lost against Yu-Jing and not something else … but so it stands 2-0 for them against the Haqqislam.

WHAAAAAIIII MUD HUTS!? Haqqislam do not live in mud huts! They are a highly technological faction! All of the artwork in the books shows futuristic, artistic cities, full of architectual masterpieces and high technology! T_T
Aside from my favourite pet peeve:
– That’s actually a really cool table. For a mud-hut table, of course. 😉
– So awesome to see the Maghariba Guard in action! I am SO getting one of those for my Red Veil Haqqies to hide behind!
– I only have the 2D video, but it seemed like both players underestimated the silhouettes of their miniatures massively several times. The Al Fasid and the Maghariba Guard should have been able to shoot a lot more things, because those walls are barely high enough to hide a S1 even if it’s touching them. Remember that the silhouette is a cylinder, with a flat, circular top. That thing is easy to spot over a wall if you’re on a rooftop. Or a S8 Maggie. I’m pretty sure it should have seen the Ninja with every one of its actions. 😉
– I really liked to see how the Al Fasid and Terracotta Soldier were duking it out with pistols when they were close. One of the changes I really liked about N3 is making pistols more interesting in close quarter shootouts.

One of the best battle report of infinity i have ever seen , perhaps it’s because these are two of the coolest faction in this game.
Any way one special mentions goes to the scenery elements , i have loved this battle table , it’s super immersive for a haqqislam army , and fit well to contain the roll of the dice!

Enjoyed watching the report. Its nice to see Carlos aways stays positive and making jokes also when he is on the losing site. Games like this should be about that and having fun together.
I think Hidden Deployment models have to declare a wait/delayed ARO after the first short skill declaration of a camo marker revealing them as a marker too…so the Tuareg would not have been such a surprise…TO got nerfed in N3.
It’s been awhile since I saw a lieutenant killed first turn. Good thing it doesn’t completely neuter you like in the past.

It’s not compulsory to use the command tokens at the begining of the turn to transform irregular orders into regular orders. You can do it during your turn, Killian. Don’t play with the Boss!

I still haven’t finished painting the last battle box but already put my money down for this one.
This is how every match should be: with amazing terrain, beautifully painted miniatures and with nice guys. Very clear and dynamic batrep, good job again Carlos and BoW for being able to record that many videos in one day.

First of all….WELL PLAYED KILIAN!!!!….Moving along, That NINJA went over the boxes the MAGHARIBA had a ARO…..Besides that Awesome Battlereport!!!!….
That looked like a really intense game right up to the last turn.
Half-way though, I wanted to beg Killian to change his dice because his dicerolls were so bad. And then the rest of the battle happened 🙂

If i had been playing i would have been more consevitive with my AROs vs the magariba and failed a guts roll with the the tag to duck away. I think you both forgot about those a bit but cannot remember. But standing strong paid off for you. Was hoping you were going to lay down some suppression fire with your last order and a command token in round 3. Feel your TAG would have been more of a beast. Shame you could not land a shot on the second Lt but your arm rolls were nuts.

For ending so lopsided, that was a really fun batrep to watch, As someone who has been cursed with Killianesque luck up until now… time to push to get as many games as possible, just in case the winds of dice-fate have shifted for us all ^_^
Finally, what an awesome looking table, those buildings from 4Ground are great looking. Obviously no game of Infinity will be complete without Carlos…..definitely one for my bucket list, “Play a game of Infinity against Carlos” oh and of course the game needs to have these superbly painted minis included to round the experience off.

Wow, Killian actually beat Carlos. Very nice to see the battle including the suggested troops added. Red Veil looks like a great box to get. Must get one. Good battle report!
Setting the buildings on a diagonal like that is a pretty old modeler’s trick to disguise edges and make the space seem larger. Works well on this small board.
It’s efficient too, since players will tend to have their models hug the corners (the place on a building closest to the table’s edge) as they go around them in this game.

Killian is actually wrong—you do not have to do convert irregular orders in the tactical phase—that only applies to moving between combat groups
Lots of big stompy units in this match.

Finally finished the week now to binge on Infinity. First and foremost how much beat down can those Haqq dish out and play.

If you’re looking to expand, at least for Yu Jing, I really recommend the Yaokong remote box – Total Reaction remotes are nothing to mess with! Also the JSA Tokuetsu Butai specalist box – having a doctor and engineer + 2 G:Servants are great!

Can’t you use Command Points to declare a Coordinated Order involving the troops with Irregular orders? That would be a way to mitigate the stress of Loss of Lieutenant (LoL ;P) a little bit.
I like the new Haqislam but the Yu Jing seem to have gone all chunky.

It had to happen sooner or later, Killian finally won one against Carlos………..Well done Killian. I think Carlos and Killian should have a rematch, but this time use the other side so we can see how they would do thing`s differently.

Okay who gave Killian the magic dice? That was almost cruel, almost. Great Battle Report. It was balanced until the dice had their say. Carlos still looked like he was loving every minute.

I really like the look of Haqqislam. Yu Jing is cool, but not my style aesthetically even if I do like the way they play.
Great batrep. It shows off the Infinity goodness superbly: hackers, losing minis to reactions, plenty of stuff else. It looked great fun and I need to get my Haqqislam minis near a paintbrush before too long – also those JSA [blush]
Also I love the sci-fi-ed up middle east buildings. I’m doing similar with the ones from Plast Craft. This table suggests I need more, though.
