In this part of our Human Sphere N3 Week we're going to be going through and showing off all of the new toys for the various factions within the Infinity universe.
We've got loads of new troop profiles to show off. This means we'll be delving into the way in which these units work on the tabletop and discussing some of their background too.

Really looking forward to the new Tohaa profiles. Just took them back to the tabletop yesterday for the first time in years.
I started in Infinity not too long ago with the N3 ruleset. Have only dabbled in Sectorials a little as their rules were previous edition faq’d in. Can’t wait to jump in with all the rules brought up to current edition.
Now we get to the interesting stuff

I really want to get in to Infinity however the core rule book is too heavy and intimidating a read. I’ve read most of it, but I’m kinda scared to be the one to teach my friends when I don’t undertsand it all myself. Operation icestorm is essentially the tutorial missions from a computer game and exactly what I need to get started. I really really want to win a copy as I can’t afford one. Perhaps Corvis Belli might one day release PDFs of similar tutorial missions on their website, with lists for other factions?

I’ve been playing infinity with proxies for awhile now. I couldn’t decide which army I wanted to play for the longest time but I recently settled on Haqqislam. Then this video comes out. My reactions are as follows.
PanOceania ” Maybe I should of been collecting military orders…”
Yu jing ” I mean sure they look nice but… Haqqislam.”
Ariadna ” Okay now you are just teasing me.”
Haqqislam ” Finally! I can’t wait to see whats new! Oh one new thing they show me and not even in a picture.”
Nomads ” Okay you guys did this on purpose. I don’t know how, I don’t know why but you found out when I finally bought the haqqislam starter and you decided then and there to release the new stuff! You did this too me and I will make you pay! But first I need to buy all the new stuff. Then you can pay!”
I Think they have won here. My wallet just hurts now.
The team just keeps pushing me towards infinity, and I think I’m going to have to dive in.
Bostria – it makes my heart bleed not to see a new Corregidor Unit. I know that Corregidor had it’s moment – still I just love the army, would die to see a new Cor. units 🙁

I cannot wait to see what the new rules for fire teams will be. Plus with the addition of the new hacker devices….. Sweet… I expect that this new hacker device will compose of SWORD-2 and SWORD-3 program types as these are missing in the N3 rulebook.

@bostria , I think the knifes are so you can kill with the shock descriptor instead of going to unconscious, so no dogged, explodes etc…

“Infinity Week” was what got me hooked in 2013. Looking forward to the new books and glad to hear that CB held off a bit to get it polished up instead of releasing part now and part later. CB is a class act that many companies could take a lesson from. Thanks CB, BoW, and Carlos. Good job all.

I expect it to be as interesting and well designed as all there products thus far.
And I thought I was done with the Ariadna but then they brought out the Guardian 1. My wallet will hate me!
As a vanilla Ariadna player (at least until AF comes out with the Kazak sectorial) I was really looking forward to the USARF stuff to tide me over.. but the Colonel is a nice surprise; There’s a model I will be able to use even once I transition from vanilla to the Kazaks. In the mean time it seems I will have to try very hard to resist the lure of Yu Jing; The recentire models have been amazing and it looks like the new profiles in HS will be just as good!

The Black Friar should be a great looking miniature if the concept is anything to go by.
When I next come into money the Tohaa and Combined Army will probably tempt me.
It feels as though all my fighting amongst Ariadna, Pano and Nomads is all a sideshow when we should all be fighting off the Combined Army? Need to invest in the bad guys. 🙂

I’m looking forward the whole Acontecimento story! I like the Acontecimento fluff and I’ve created a kind of a smuggler and pirate story for my Acontecimento troops! However, some new troops and the release of the Tikbalang would be a great development!!!!!
Also interested in what comes out for the Vidic side of Aleph this year, but just about to embark on giving steel phalanx a go having played a few games now and whats not to love about an “achilles” that can have a fireteam! Already ordered 🙂
