The folks at BricksKrieg have announced that they are now working towards the release of a new aircraft-based game! BricksKrieg Wings is coming soon and is what I have been waiting for since I saw the BricksKrieg range last year.

Wings will continue the tradition of BricksKrieg being simple and easy for you to dive into. This set of simple aerial rules is designed to be user-friendly, using a hex-based system alongside the existing ground troops and vehicles from BricksKrieg proper. Yes, that means proper combined air and land battle games are coming.

The existing collection will be expanded alongside a design team that is also working on the likes of the Spitfire, Messerschmitt and Blenheim. The designer, Toby, has also created a stunning Lancaster, which I can't wait to see.

This also came alongside another fun miniature designed by Peter Hentze, who is a new freelance designer amongst the BricksKrieg crew. They created this excellent design for a DH.98 Mosquito, so I hope that this makes it into the wider range!

The team said they are going to be launching the game at the Duxford Airshow, which runs from the 4th to the 5th of July. They will be running demo games as well as launch exclusives. So, if you can make it to the Duxford Airshow, that's the place to be to get in on Wings first!

What do you think?
