Pre-Order Deluxe Hardback Battlegroup Italy Supplement

Pre-orders are now available for the new Battlegroup Italy Deluxe Limited Hardback Edition of the rules from The Plastic Soldier Company. This will be a one-time print run, focusing on this particular theatre of war for the World War II wargame.

This book introduces a complete and in-depth overview of the Italian Campaign from 1943 to 1945. It starts with the landings at Reggio di Calabria, Taranto and Salerno and delves into the fighting at the Gustav Line and the four battles that took place at Monte Cassino. You'll also find coverage of the Anzio landings and the capture of Rome.

You'll find six new Army Lists covering the Germans, the US and the British/Commonwealth forces that were fighting at the time. You'll also get to dive into rules for fighting defensive battles in the vineyards, villages, coastal plains and mountainous ridges of Italy. You've got some varied terrain for you to engage with, which should introduce new challenges for your wargames as you work out how to approach your battles.
German Defence Line - Preview // Battlegroup Italy
These different battlefields then break down into two new general scenarios, two campaigns and two historical scenarios for you to sink your teeth into. Despite how important the push into Italy was by the Allies, I don't think it gets quite as much coverage as it deserves. So, it's good to see the Battlegroup rules tackling this theatre of war and the campaigns that played out during the Late War period.

All of the deluxe book pre-orders will also get a 10% discount for the upcoming Battlegroup 2.0 Rules and the new Battlegroup Commander World War II rules in an epic, smaller scale. Do we have more info on Battlegroup Commander? Is that a reskin of Battlegroup Northag/Centag?
I vaguely recall a rumour of a Cold War version of the Battlegroup rules but not sure if that went anywhere.
It was the precursor game to NorthAG/CentAG.
BgC is not going to be a reskin of NorthAG. Its going to be an all new set of rules and focus on a higher command level, so a player will be controlling multiple ‘battlegroups’.
Cold War BG is still on the cards but no idea when as yet.

Yes… Aimed at 6mm, so will suit 3mm to 12mm perfectly.
