Gundam Assemble Miniatures Game Starter Sets & More Revealed!
March 4, 2026 by brennon
Gundam Assemble, the miniatures game from Bandai, has been fully revealed with Starter Sets and more coming out later this year. The Starter Set and more for Gundam Assemble will be coming in October 2026!
Gundam Assemble Starter Set // Bandai
Leading the way, we have the Starter Set for Gundam Assemble, which comes with enough components for someone running a three-versus-three game. It contains six miniatures for you to use when making your team alongside two scenarios for you to play, allowing you to understand the flow of gameplay.

Each unit in the game comes with different statistics and abilities, which reflect the way that they fit into the Gundam universe. This means that you might be able to pilot unique suits and play out iconic moments from your favourite battles.
If you're interested in seeing how Gundam Assemble plays, you can watch the Quick Play Guide below or check out the Play Guide and read along.
Quick Play Guide // Gundam Assemble
I was watching through the Quick Play Guide and I really like the initiative system that they have included with the Timeline. Doing more intense actions on your turn can send you further down the track, whilst you might also be tempted to do quicker actions that allow you to follow the course of gameplay and react more to a changing situation.
The flow of gameplay also seems quite quick and easy to get your head around. It feels like you can have quite a fun time with the different modular elements like the terrain set, different scenarios and the Gundam that you can play as.
Deluxe Starter Set
If you want to go a bit more in-depth, you can also check out the Gundam Assemble Deluxe Starter Set.

This ranks things up with enough components for you to run a five-versus-five battle, including battleship-class units. This then allows you to dive in with thirteen miniatures, which you can paint up to match the classics or go your own way.

Something for the really excited Gundam fan who is looking to level things up once again. It contains more options but is still based on the basic mechanics that you'll already have got your head around from the Play Guides. You just get a more fun kit to play with and try out different strategies.
Expansion Packs & Paint Packs
As well as the Starter Sets, you will also be able to get your hands on different Expansion Packs for Gundam Assemble. There will be five to choose from and we have images of what's included in two of the first sets.
Expansion Pack 01 // Gundam Assemble
The Expansion Packs come with a variety of different Gundams that you can use to enhance your tabletop experience and try out different tactics on the tabletop. As with all of the Gundam Assemble line, these packs come with miniatures that you'll have to assemble and paint yourself.
Expansion Pack 02 // Gundam Assemble
For those starting out with Gundam Assemble, especially if you don't have paints, you can also get yourself a Paint Pack from Bandai, which will give you some basic paints to get you started on your new miniatures.
Paint Pack // Gundam Assemble
This set comes with three miniatures plus a set of Gundam Assemble colours, which will run you through the basics that you'll need for painting pretty much anything. You also get a brush in the set! It will be cool to see if they do additional paint sets with other miniatures to get you started on different styles of miniatures.
If you'd like to see more about the Gundam Assemble range, you can find it HERE and the full website is HERE. There's lots for you to sink your teeth into when it comes to Gundam Assemble.
Has this got you excited about diving into Gundam Assemble later this year in October?

Gotta catch ‘em all!
Would you look at the prices. STARTER SET 01 [ST01] converts to 20€, DELUXE SET 01 [DX01] is 50€.EXPANSION PACK even less than 18€. Huh.
you sure ?
I’m seeing prices listed in dollars … and that deluxe set 1 was 100 dollaroos.
Still rather low when compared to other companies.
I got prices shown in Yen so I did a direct conversion. STARTER SET 01 [ST01] is 35USD which converts to 30 EUR. I would guess my prices are more correct for the EU because we don’t have such high tarrifs 😉
The prices do seem great, but there is a disclaimer that this price is for Japan and it my differ from region.
The prices are listed on the main English website. Starter Set is $35, Deluxe 01 is $100, Expansion Packs are $40 each. On the products page for the site, it shows the MSRP. If you click the product, then it takes you to the Japanese link which you can disregard.

that may be true, but otoh … these are Japanese prices.
I definitely expect them to be much higher for us.
otoh … it would be a nice surprise if they could pull that off.
Given that Gunpla kits aren’t super expensive they might do it too.
Looking great!
You want to make me addicted to gundam ?
’cause this might be it …
Wow, the pricing on this is great! Hope to get a demo game at UKGE.
I have seen some gameplay and the game looks interesting, I probably will get a starter set.
Ooh I’ll be diving in with a starter set, deluxe set 01. Very nice models. Game looks decent. Very Underworlds.
Even got little tables for battles in space ! – if you order pizza hope you kept the little white ones… the price seems great, question is can Bandi makes games or just models…?
Even if it’s just models at this scale, there are loads of other rulesets that cater to Gundam fighting. I’m less interested in the game and more the models…
I’m intrigued by the Quickplay. The mechanics look fun and the minis are awesome!
