Macrocosm Fill You In On How To Use Their Monstrous Balls

Macrocosm are closing in on the last four days of their Balls! Kickstarter and with that we've been taking a look at some of the uses for these monstrous creations on the tabletop. Well, the main use for them from the mind of Chris Nicholls who created them is for Kings of War...
The idea is that he's going to be using them for his Goblin army in the game where...
"...Trolls are the Original balls, Mawbeasts are the Tiny Balls, The Troll Bruiser is The Monster Ball of Doom, The Giants are the Colossal Balls"
A pretty good use for them. As well as that however they are also developing their own kind of game for playing with these Balls on the tabletop.
A little game has come to their mind which will be available to backers of the campaign when they are ready. In essence the game is a little bit like bowels of pool.
You will have a series of smaller balls as well as the Monster Ball which is the only one that moves. You will be sending your Monster Ball smashing into the smaller ones in the hopes of hitting them into goals around an arena. This is all based on guess ranges however so you will probably end up smashing other Balls out of the way.
I think this sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I could imagine some Orc(k)s setting up a game like this in some ramshackle arena.

I will be using these as Mawbeasts for my Kings of War Goblin army. I am a fan of Balls.

I absolutely love the new *1 of each scuplt* pledge level. Started with a deal on all the currently funded Balls! & everything after is basically free! I suggested it & a few others liked the idea. So Macrocosm looked into & made it happen. Love KS Creators who listen to their backers!
At first I’ll be using mine as various & sundry different types if Ork Squigs. Attack, Bomb, Fireball, & Hill [as opposed to Cave] Squigs. All the different sizes & sculpts & then the accessories… Man, gonna be some Squigy fun!
I’m also thinking up rules for a Fantasy *Dodge Balls!* type game. The different fantasy races dodging, catching & even deflecting more & more & more vicious Balls! ’til there’s only one side standing. Macrocosm really knows how to excite the imagination. Balls! are gonna be so much fun in so many ways!

The Game!
Well Obviously at the start of this campaign we were making these for use in your existing games, and there were many uses! But now this project has evolved.
We are currently talking about the outline of the game. In a nutshell we will be looking at it being a fantasy sports style game involving 2 opposing teams of balls controlled by mages that are taking time out of their schedule to play a game of Monsterball with an opponent.
The arenas that the game is played on will always be different (probably 3 x 3), from purpose constructed pitches to the portable pitch in a bottle (perfect for the wizard on the go!). So there will be a limited amount of terrain on some of these pitches to bounce off…..
2 monster balls will be used to bash the monsters around the table, scoring points in goals while knocking opponents balls into tricky situations. This will be a dice-less process with no pre measuring!
So what can we tell you about the teams sizes. Right now we cant. We need to sit around a table and move some miniatures around. We can tell you that all the Balls from this project will be used in the game, and the accessories! More will be reveled as we progress this but we are looking to have this game demoed at UK Games Expo!
All backers will get the playtest rules free!
Right so for now we are rolling on up to the 4k mark! Lets see if we break it!
Sadly *Guess Range* is not for me. Everything else is, tho!
