Mantic Tease Ghost In The Shell Tabletop Game For 2026

Mantic Games has teased that they are working on another big project from the mind of Masamune Shirow and the folks at Kodansha. The Ghost in the Shell is going to be coming to the tabletop later this year, in 2026.

As Mantic pointed out in their teaser, this is going to be an introduction to one of the most iconic Science Fiction worlds ever created. The focus is going to be on Major Kusanagi herself and the rest of the Section 9 team. I'm sure we're in for quite a treat with this one, especially with all of the notable and iconic characters that have popped up over the years.

We also got the extra detail of "live, think and fight in a near-future world of cybernetics, espionage, and existential mystery". Intriguing. We're yet to know exactly what the game will be but the rumours floating around mention a role-playing game. I wouldn't put it past Mantic to also be working on miniatures and all sorts.
