S.H.I.E.L.D Goes Up Against Sentinels! New Marvel: Crisis Protocol Sets
March 24, 2026 by brennon
If you're looking to dive deeper into the world of Marvel on the tabletop, then there are some new sets for you to pick from for use with Marvel: Crisis Protocol. S.H.I.E.L.D is in the mix alongside some deadly villains adapting the Sentinel program!
S.H.I.E.L.D Affiliation Pack // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
The S.H.I.E.L.D Affiliation Pack brings some notable characters back together into one set. The leader of this particular set is Nick Fury, who will be directing the action and making sure that his agents get to where they need to be. Nick has a great miniature and comes backed up by the awesome set of S.H.I.E.L.D Agents.

You've got a pair of goobers in the set but they are also led by Maria Hill, who will be keeping them in line. I really like the set, despite the addition of the rope, as it gives you a great snapshot of the moment where they deploy to the battlefield. Have fun painting all of that white alongside the black!
Fury can't take out his enemies by himself and so you will also get Hawkeye and Black Widow in the set as well. Again, these are older miniatures from the range but they still check out and look the part!
Black Widow & Hawkeye // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
There's a temptation to go for some of the big hitters in games like Marvel: Crisis Protocol. There's nothing wrong with running the likes of Thor, Hulk and such but I quite like the idea of playing as the ordinary humans trying to tackle terrifying superhuman threats!

As well as the S.H.I.E.L.D Affiliation Pack, you can also go all in with some villains and the addition of the Character Pack for Bastion, Nimrod & Omega Sentinel.
Bastion, Nimrod & Omega Sentinel // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
This set comes with some brand-new miniatures for Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Here, we see the evolution of the Sentinels, who are still hunting down mutants across the world and beyond. Whilst the Sentinels were once unthinking creations that hunted at their master's orders, they have now become something more.
Bastion & Omega Sentinel // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
Bastin, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel have developed their own strategies, plans and interwoven plots for how to deal with both mutantkind and any humans that stand in their way! Whilst they are primarily concerned with eradicating the likes of the X-Men, they are not against subjugating any humans that dare to stand against them.
Nimrod // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
This is another great set and another string to the bow of X-Men themed sets from the world of Marvel: Crisis Protocol. It comes with some great plastic miniatures, which I hope aren't going to be an absolute monster to build! At least Omega Sentinel is supported by multiple effects.

Use these miniatures alongside the existing Sentinels and you'll have one hell of a powerhouse of a force to use on the tabletop. Could you see yourself picking up some of these miniatures for yourself and how would you include them alongside the rest of your collection?

Yo, the big robot thing is Nimrod. Omega Sentinel is the woman.
Wasn’t Omega briefly with the X-men until they found out she was a Sentinel?
Nimrod I recall from long ago and Bastian from one of the crossovers, maybe an X-Tinctian series.
Still trying to get hold of the X-Men Starter set, but not in stock in UK.
Did they run out of bases and have to jam three on one?
How many shield agents does it take to change a light bulb?
Three: one to hold the bulb, the other two to spin the holder to make the bulb go in.
they didn’t need two guys to fill in the forms for the replacement ?
They would need an even bigger base for that scenario! The assumption is the forms are completed (in triplicate, press hard, please) prior to the installation.
surely they could have chosen a better model for black widow ?
