About the Project

After a flood of kickstarter miniature games arrived I realized just how many starter sets for different game systems I have unpainted. In many cases I've been playing with them for years but the time has come to add some love and colour to these models that I've bought.

So another 6 Ogres giving me 3 KoW regiments worth of Ogres. These were the fastest by far with the regiment and 3 movement trays taking 15 hours from sprue to tabletop. I might do some cavalry next. Most importantly, at 133 days into 2020 I've painted 153 minis! So another 6 Ogres giving me 3 KoW regiments worth of Ogres. So I managed to get a few of the final characters for Warhammer Quest unboxed an painted. I also found some old metal Beastmen which will get added to my Mordheim Chaos warband. Better late than never. As an aside I have player Warhammer Quest once in the last 25 years, but the idea of finishing off the set did bring me quite some sense of satisfaction. So I managed to get a few of the final characters for Warhammer Quest unboxed an painted. A solid night's work.

So after finding the Chaos Warrior I found a Bretonnian foot knight. As I ferreted through dust covered boxes I unearthed Mordheim miniatures, undercoated black probably 20+ years ago. Time to finish these bad boys off!

Sadly I’ll probably never use them so got them done in a matter of days in late July.

So for those that are old enough to remember these miniature are all GW, but either from their D&D range of miniatures or from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st edition. I didn’t waste a lot of time on these guys (as I’ll realistically probably never use them,) getting the lot of them done in 4-5 days of on and off painting. I still have a few more monsters and townsfolk to go

So this was the last batch of minis from yesteryear that I’m painting for now. I have one more Bretonnian Foot knight taking a bath but, seeing as he’s waited since 1997, he can wait a few more days.

Some more D&D minis (by GW) including a flesh golem, a cleric and a group of townsfolk. There’s also a Mordheim Reikland Captain that I decided would look good in black armour and a mounted road warden from Averland.

As previously stated I doubt I’ll get much, if any use from them, they just needed to get done.

So I added a couple of Shadespire gangs to the ‘Done’ pile.
