Fantasy Dreadball league round 2
Round 2 of the club Dreadball league is underway! The first two matches for each player were played in a standard arena but for round 2 we are using the alien jungle arena rules from the Magnetar Circuit.
This is a cool addition where the arena is less attended than usual reducing the number of ‘cheers’ teams can earn from the crowd to spend on bonus cards, but instead the coaches can be heard more clearly so that teams earn a bonus coaching die in each rush.
And there are the vines which grow rapidly and can create obstructions as the matches go on. Interesting stuff!
I played twice today and lost both, narrowly avoiding a shut out (reaching 7 points in the tug of war scoring system ends the match immediately) in my first game and grinding out a narrow 1 point defeat in my second.
My cyborg team, Omni Carnage Prototypes, is developing however and I am close to hiring a captain to lead me to great victories!
Yndij reinforcements
The last few players I was too lazy to do years ago. This also means I have painted everything I bought in that Kickstarter!
Neobot reinforcements
While I painted the standard team ages ago, I never did get around to painting the spare player booster that I got from the Kickstarter. Now that there is a league on, I think they will be needed!
Fantasy Dreadball league, fantasy...
My club has started a Dreadball league! Eight players joined in for demo games and round one and we are off to a strong start. A few of us are lending out most of it which does mean I need to finish a few long standing things…
Cyborg Team
So these have been sat in my backlog for far longer than I ever intended so finally decided to fix that and get them painted.
I didn’t spend a huge amount of time on them and kept the shading pretty basic with the rust effects doing most of the heavy lifting.
So that’s 22 models done within three weeks, so progress!
