About the Project
I meant to get started with Crisis Protocol next but…I got a game of this played and wow did we have fun! So, I’m going to tackle this in stages. It’s a long term project and I’ll likely bounce around to other things. Otherwise this would be the only thing I did for…a year? Longer? Oh well, here goes.

Anyone been able to figure out how to get the thumbnails to be in the correct orientation?
I know that the OTT team is aware of the issue. I’ve also noticed that some of mine show up correctly and others don’t. I haven’t been able to identify a pattern and I’m hoping some of the rest of you have.
Is there anything that increases/decreases the likelihood of them showing up correctly or is this a case of just waiting for the OTT team to ride to the rescue?
Pinned and painted back up
After a detour through cyano-acrylate and the CA + green stuff (I was worried about my ability to drill a hole straight down the shaft) Hades is pinned and painted.
I end up using one of my smallest drill bits and using the bit itself as the pin. I was told the place to go for wire and bits is either a model train shop or a music store. By the by, I thought I would be clever by adding some rubble texture to the base before I laid down the sand. As you can see, that was not actually clever. The sand ended up just covering over the rubble. That may actually be nice in that it’ll give a bit more undulation to the base level sand but it was not the look I was going for.
So…add rubble/accent pieces after sand.
Athena
The owl is done. I was trying for a spotted owl (they have a connection to Greek mythology) and are a friend’s favorite. I cut off the tufts that made this look more like a horned owl. Also, I went ahead and did the glowing eyes. I haven’t really done much glow before and, if I’m going to paint the mess of Infinity that I have, painting glowing things will be necessary. Picture Rotation
I think I’ve identified some regularity in the thumbnails being incorrectly rotated: if taken with my iPhone in portrait mode the system correctly orients the picture but not the thumbnail; if taken with my iPhone in landscape mode, both are oriented correctly.
I’ll have to test this to see whether taking all pics in landscape and cropping them solves the issue. I’ll also have to see if taking pictures with my DSLR is ever subject to this issue. There does seem, however to be some regularity: see Hades with his pinned staff v. the Athena & her owl post after and the Hades with snapped staff post before.
