Malifaux Lore guide

For some reason, Tara is really underrepresented in the Lore for Malifaux. In fact, none of the stories she appears in are primarily about her. She always just makes appearances in other arcs. Would love to see her more in upcoming stuff.

This weeks episode was short, because I wanted to get a head start on next weeks, its gonna be a long one 🙂 Any guesses who it’ll be about?

Mr. McCabe, the man of many factions. I liked doing this video, because I got to see his whole transformation, that occurred across 6 or 7 years of the game, in a few hours.

I wanted to do videos on the new Explorers Society masters, but none of them have enough lore to make the video longer than 60 seconds. So just McCabe for now.

This it for my backlog of videos, going forward im trying to hit one video a week, released on Saturdays.

The holy man of the Bayou. He has an interesting story, as he started as dual faction, but then betrayed the ten thunders. I wish they would develop that part of his story more.

Im glad I recently finished making a lot of plant scatter terrain that I could use to represent the bayou.

Another of my favorite Masters from the game. Her backstory is pretty cool, a poor prostitute who experiences tragedy. Then acquires great power. Will she use it for good, or evil?

Marcus is another favorite of mine. They put a science-y twist on the classic beastman. Hes basically a nerd who likes animals more than people. I feel lik emany of us can relate 🙂

Experimented with some effects in this video. The feedback was positive and I was pretty happy with it.

I haven’t played Von Schill much, but I play against him often, and he’s a popular master. I think his relationship with the guild is interesting, since he’s got beef with the Governor General, but there’s sort of an uneasy truce where they tolerate each other. He didn’t have much lore, until recently when he got involved with some of the bigger world events and united the outcasts to some extent.

Misaki was my first master and the reason I was attracted to the game. One of the coolest things about Malifaux is the diversity of the types of people you will see. Her backstory is pretty cool, as she is effectively a crime boss, but there is more to her than that.

This is one of the first videos I ever edited, so it’s a bit rough in places. The process of learning is fun, but can be tedious. I have to admit that I enjoy putting together the little scenes with my minis for the pictures.
