The next faction for us to have a look at is Ariadna, and again I'm stunned by what has been left out of the artbook! I know plenty of people will ask why some of these were not added in but I'm guessing that it's probably one of the hardest decisions the Infinity team has had to make! Squeee! Or to put it another way, I love Ariadna. They always came across as the underdogs (pun not intended) and they were the first Infinity miniatures I ever picked up.
Is there a paint guide other than the cards that come with the figures? What colors or how to paint tartans…which paints are used? Does the Art book have any of that? or more bios of characters/groups? like the videos they are helpful…definitely will have to collect this army.
Ive always loved the Ariadna faction.
As an aside – and in relation to what Warran said about the art book acting as a source of inspiration – I’m hoping to learn a thing or two from the designs in the book so I can FINALLY finish off the concept art for a female near-future merc design I’ve been working on.

Just started painting my Ariadna, great figures to paint. Finish of the Merovigians and then off to make a Scottish Wolf Army.
I’d love to win a starter set or two so my friends and I can give infinity a try. Looks really good.

The fluff is great, but the miniatures aren’t the sexiest of the game, imo…
True, they totally aren’t. They have a grittier, near-future look that doesn’t let the Infinity designers show off quite as much as the other ranges but I suspect that is one of the reasons why people love them 😉

imo Ariadna has the most “feeling” from all the factions
All the factions look good but I honestly have to say that Ariadna is my least favorite. They still look good, and who doesn’t want to run around with a bunch of werewolves…

I have a 300pt Ariadna, love it! Covert Uxia is such an awesome model I can’t want for the next pose of her as well to get rid of the current “man-face” Uxia.
I did not like Ariadna when i first started to play as they were my most common adversary. Since this has changed i feel they have grown on me a lot.
Ariadna not sporting my preferred style of design (all about that futuristic stuff for me), it’s still a fascinating faction. Love those videos.
Can’t wait till Haqq in the spotlight, but still loved this one next fav faction by far.

Quite different art direction for this faction. Having a faction that simply looks like an advanced earth army. As a sci-fi fan, they are not a favorite, but I love the options the game offers. Uxia looks great though.
Oosheeah…well that’s new…personally I don’t like when the model is crouching as it makes it really small. Same problem with the PanO Traumadoc…she’s just too small and her pistol arm brakes off every other game.
I’m looking forward to a USAriadna!

Well apparently those 2nd Battalion Scots Guard take their camo advice from Space Marines.
Its all good, wearing camo ponchos, but having bright blue shoulderpads over it, kind of ruins the effect.

Seems to me that what appeals to many is what makes me not like them too much. I prefer the cohenrency in design other factions offer
I really enjoyed painting my MRRF and even win with it occasionally.
Good to see werewolves are not “growing” into the army (sorry, dont like them very much), even though the new wulvers made me want a couple of them. Love the french sectorial and like the image of “old-fashioned, walking tought troopers” the army has.

The good thing about Ariadna , you can use military models for forces , you dont have to use the CB models.

Ariadna minis were my first ones back when I started Infinity and this faction is still my no.1 few years later
Suddenly I miss my old Ariadna minis, didn’t play any games but painting them was a great experience.

Ariadna’s fluff reminds me of Sky’s Edge from Revelation Space which is pretty cool. I’m not too big into Ariadna as a faction but they do bring contemporary aesthetics to the Infinity universe.

These are awesome wish I had the money to through at Infinity.
I think these would benefit from leaving the artwork ON SCREEN while you are talking about it. Instead of watching you and Carlos chat, looking down at your iPad, I’d rather be looking at what you’re talking about – instead of the 10 second glimpse we get.
It looks like the art book will be a great source of ideas for color schemes!

Ariadna, my second-choice faction
I know some people aren’t fans of how sexy some is the female art is, but I like it. Its hard to find good female miniatures that you can enjoy painting. Infinity its about deception and tricks, and what better deception than to have an assassin that that makes you look twice at her before your dead, without even shouldering your gun.

What’s not to love about the Ariadna? Modern military styling…good! werewolves…good! and the kilt is so under-represented in the wargaming world!
this mens (how we told in my country) have the square balls, and this are very great because the are very carismatic and be easy are log whith they. My favorite sectorial is the kosak sectorial although it don’t exist at the moment but in the future they will be my favorites in ariadna follow by the caledonians with this wulvers and cameronians XD

Infinity, one of the best table top games ever invented. I’m a big GW gamer, hell I’ve been one since the Rogue days and I have seen nothing like this, from game system, figures, customer service, etc.
This company is just incredible, they put new figures monthly (Nobody does that) yes they have missed a couple of months but they stay strong.

You know, I’d love to know the percentage of people who go Adriana compared to other factions. Is there a market for an Inifnity style modern combat game? Perhaps I should a couple of demo games with Adriana modern troops only, see if I can attract people in the game who dont go for sci fi/anime.
I really appreciated the added insight to the reasoning for the less dynamic concept art as compared to the more dynamic finished pieces.

And ehm… that B in ‘Bème’ is actually the number 8. It should read huitième in full, meaning the 8th regiment
