A fair compilation on the North. 🙂

Although the Snub Cannon isn’t as long-ranged as all that, it’s really a tank-killer weapon that needs to get within 12″ to be truly effective. However, throwing it in with your Jaguars (advanced commando Gears) and giving it the Dedicated Tank-Hunter Initiative (I know, long acronym, we use DTHI for short) allows it to be used at a much longer range with greater efficiency. Downside is anybody and their grandfather’s gonna try and put you down because they fear the snubbie.

Grizzlies (the fire support/assault Gear of the North) are also well known for their long-range guided munitions. Heavy Guided Mortars, Anti-Tank missiles, these guys, combined with the Target Designators of your Recon Squad’s Ferrets or Cheetahs, can put the hurt on any enemy Gear, and even onto enemy tanks.

Be warned, the Cheetah has the reputation of being the squishiest Gear on the planet. It’s armor is only 10, but it is fast and nimble enough it is joked of being capable of dodging lightning. The only Gears that match it in maneuverability and Defense are the Black Talon special forces.

For an introduction, this does the North a good amount of justice. Thumbs-up, gentlemen!

Yeah, I always had a soft spot for the Paratrooper Cheetah myself.. and personally, I’m not sure I’d call the North zealous.. certainly not PoM zealous. They just put a little more stock in faith and tradition than the decadent, irresponsible South 😉

Which one? I prefer Humanist Alliance as much as the Republic, my friend. Striders, hovertanks, hover-Gears with NuCoal, and Cuirassiers that improve on the Black Mamba? 😉 Yes, please!

And let’s not forget, the North isn’t always as united as all that. But we’ll leave it to the new guys to find out. 🙂
