New Imperial Knight Destrier Stalks Into Warhammer 40,000

Another new preview has popped up from Games Workshop for their Sci-Fi wargame, Warhammer 40,000. Here, we have the Imperial Knight Destrier, which joins the towering war machines of the Imperium soon.
Imperial Knight Destrier // Warhammer 40,000
The Knight destrier is a Bellatus-class Imperial Knight that focuses on speed and graceful movement on the battlefield. The body has been slimmed down and two large rocket boosters on the back help catapult it into the heart of the action.

The speed of the Imperial Knight Destrier is such that you want to get up close and personal with your enemy. There, the Destrier can deploy their thundershock spears and bellatus reaper chainswords to full effect, smashing through even the heaviest armour with their boosted attacks. The lance is perfect for smashing through those armoured targets, whilst the blades can cut through entire squads.

If that wasn't enough, the Destrier also comes armed with a chastiser gatling cannon or a frag bombard. This means that regardless of where you are, the Destrier is probably going to be able to hunt you down and turn you into scrap.
This new Imperial Knight does have some really cool elements to it that I quite enjoy. I don't think I'd ever collect or paint an Imperial Knight but I do like the detail on the carapace and the helmet options look super cool. I like that you can also get inside the cockpit and paint that pilot!
The Imperial Knight Destrier is going to be coming out alongside the new Adeptus Mechanicus miniatures and the next narrative expansion that leads into Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition.
Are you going to be picking up one of these?

These are definitely cool models.
They are also very impractical and IMHO completely wasted in a game of this scale.
Things would look better if they were epic …
Agreed, these look better in Epic, or LI scale. Too big for 40K frankly.
GW knights are wasted on 40K and better serve for games like Gamma Wolves. These are competitive for aesthetics but not in price.
