Steamforged Games are now taking pre-orders for their new Warmachine Core Book for those wanting to get their hands on a brand-new physical tome for use during their battles in this 35mm scale Fantasy wargame.

Inside the 140-plus pages of this new Core Book, you'll find all manner of in-depth explorations on the lore and factions of the Warmachine world of Immoren. This will be all backed up with loads of amazing artwork, some classic and plenty that's new at the same time. If you're a bit of a Warmachine fanatic, then this would make an excellent coffee table book, so you could get your friends hooked on a new game whilst you're sitting down with some tea.

There is an insane amount of worldbuilding inside the Core Book's pages, covering the changes to Western Immoren, lore on each of the factions and a beautiful full-colour map which will help you work out where your skirmishes are taking place.

If you're returning to the world of Warmachine after some time away, this seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get up to speed with this Fantasy world as it is now. Learn more about the simmering tensions between the different factions and how things have developed. It's also a great starting place for someone new to all of this!

I'm fairly sure that 90% of my decisions on whether or not I go with a faction for a new game is based on the lore and the epic artwork that comes alongside it. This is why I was won over by Khador as soon as I saw those massive Warjacks and all of those beards!

As well as this, Steamforged Games has included all of the Core Rules that you need for playing your games of Warmachine. You will find a detailed breakdown of how to build your army, the flow of gameplay, a breakdown of model types and statistics, rules for terrain, deployment and command cards, plus faction-specific mechanics and battlegroup rules.

That is ALL included in the Core Book, which you can pre-order right now ahead of a December 2025 release. However, if you want to get stuck in right now, you can also download (for free) the Warmachine Rules-only PDF, which is now separate from the Warmachine App. A Quickstart Guide is also available as part of the App if you'd like to go that way.

As someone who learns rules SO much better when I have the physical books in my hand, this is great to see from Steamforged Games. It will be a welcome addition for those newcomers and veterans seeking to dive into Warmachine.
