Time for another unboxing with Justin, Stu, and introducing Kev one of the Privateer Press Press Gangers. Today the guys have brought out the Galleon, Rask & the Warspear Chieftain to have a look at and with the way things have been going we have another, shall we say, 'colossal' prize for you. Warmachine rearly dissapoints. But Rask looks too little warlocky to me, all Warspears are cool and Galleon… hmmm have to see by my own eyes 😉

I love the concept of the Galleon. I can definitely picture one of these sitting on the docks at Berck, though how Ashlynn might smuggle one into occupied Llael is anyone’s guess!

I played against the galleon the other day, was such a damn cool model that loosing was (mildly ) ok.
The galleon just has that coupled together. Just so different to a lot of Warmachine stuff
Really like these models. Think the trident is a tad to big, but nothing a bit of conversion couldn’t fix. Maybe add a HUGE piece of toast on it for giggles. 😀
The galleon’s got to be one of my favourites for it’s character. Like the other colossals it’s effectively a scaled up jack, but this one is piratey and we all know pirates are cool!
Love the look of the Warmachine mercenaries.
This Galleon really looks like a scrap built whale-hunter device, but it has its own character. Nice work, I really like the trident! 🙂

Even I play Cryx, I just love the look of the Galleon! I think it’s the best lookin colossal out there. Only thing that’s more beatiful is the Trollbloods Gargantuan 😀
Awesome! More Merc love with the Galleon which looks all slapped together from any spare parts lying around which fits so well with the Mercs look & style. A Scorpion paint scheme would be fantastic good call there. “GET OVER HERE!”, “COME ‘EEEERR!”.

The Chieftain looks badass And since Warspears come with Legion in the Hordes 2-player battle box, there’s something for would be Legion players to grab as their first UA.

I like all the colossal and gargantuan models but the Galleon is by far the coolest. There are very, very nice painted examples appearing on the PP forums.
Nice video, Stu is getting really slick presenting them. I like Rask a lot and the swamp troll looks cool, of course the Galleon looks awesome too and would be a great addition to my growing mercenaries army.

Not diggin’ the left arm. It looks like it should be unloading containers off of a cargo ship not tearing into hapless heavy warjacks. Maybe that is the idea though.
Well yeah, merc jacks are often converted industrial tools, or at very least they often have to serve a dual purpose EG a mariner might have to put the anchor and cannon in the hold to give it free hands to haul chains to tie stuff down in rough seas etc
Galleon would be a great win.
The name Galleon for me implies rowing slaves, are there perhaps any in there?

Mercenaries are just too cool looking in Warmachine. Had to start a steelheads army just because. I like the rusty steamy lumbering jacks that need a bit of hammering once in a while to keep em going. That galleon might need a bigger hammer though. Absolutely gorgeous! ^^

that Galleon looks allright, it is only a little bit weird that, when you harpoon a jack, that jack would be penetrated and stuck on that harpoon, so why would you want to smash it again… awh who am I kidding? you just want to smash it again! 😀

The colossals are always amazing models. I really like the swamp troll as well.
After watching the last Whats In The Box with the cool Kraken mini, I bought Warmachine Prime MkII yesterday. Just finished reading the story and the history. No idea about how the game plays or the differences in the factions but it all looks cool.
Will have to check out the mercenaries as well as Cryx now hehe.
Am I right in thinking the other two mini’s, the warlock and spearman, are from the sister game Hordes?

I like the way colossals look but I they are way too expensive, maybe p3 should have made them a little cheaper… at about 60- 80€ tops, thay would sell lots of them.
I love the design of the Galleon, it has such a functional look whilst looking very dangerous! I’ll bet it’s a dream to paint too!
Rask is a nice looking model, made me really tempted to go Minions. However I managed to get the alt sculpt for Ashlynn so I was winged away from those. However I am lacking a Colossal…. *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink* Yeah would be nice to add that to her list and keep on par with my mates.
The chieftain, hes nice but I put Legion on hold for now.
I don’t even own a tabletop wargame yet and those models look badarse!!!

Fantastic vid guys love all the models shown today. Will be picking up that Warspear chieftain for my new Everblight, as I recently went halves on a 2 player hordes box.
That Galeon look’s really massive and hard hitting, but other models are cool to I think about collecting legion so Warspear Chieftain is intrusting for me.
Galleon is epic…it has cannon pecks…not sure about its head but all in all pretty damn nifty!

The rask looks like some kind of a fishman hybrid, I for one would love to see more like that for minions, after some more voodoo gators. Blindwater for me is probably one of the coolest ideas put into hordes, they just need a little more love.
The galleon is the most impressive model, but all three are proving very popular.
Galleon reshaped mercenaries as a faction, the warspear UA lifted his unit from mediocrity, and Rask is most likely the best warlock in his faction without even having his undead fishmen companions yet.
Man, that Galleon looks beastly.

played against a galleon in a tourny on the weekend guy playing it ended up winning the whole thing 7 and 0 so this thing is nasty on the table trust me i was one of the 7 he beat

Galleon is a great model with great rules, would go well with my Magnus, Galleon with Snipe or Iron Aggression, I can feel the hate already @.@
I think the new warlock will make a good addition, the Warspear Chieffain is on my to get list.
It’s impressive that Privateer Press can produce such beautiful resin. Straight out of the box, it doesn’t look like it needs much in the way of repairing/filling. I haven’t built any models from this range, but they look to be a joy to work with.

Not sold entirely on the galleon model, its big, but it doesnt have the design flow of the other warmachines ones, and to be honest, the hordes gargantuans, at least to me, are without exception better than all the colossals.
Still, wouldnt say no to a free one despite that!

In all honestly this model is awesome, then again the ´problem´ with warmachine is that every faction has something that is so awesome that makes me want to play it.
So to iterate Galleon -> Awesome -> Warmachine -> Awesome -> PP -> Awesome.

Also, the Galleon can be played in a wide variety of styles with each merc Caster.
Bart for straight up heavy firepower and metal
Drake for a basically undying Galleon with Jackhammer support
Magnus with 3 upkeeps that mesh well with the Galleon
Also if you get the Galleon get Dougal MacNaile, +2 to hit and reroll both deviation dice!!! So if you DONT want your Galleon to be 50% more awesome then DONT get MacNaile.

As a gator player, Rask is a very exciting release. Tried him a few times and he’s awesome.

Privateer Press really outdone themselves with these colossals. I really loved the Mountain King but this one looks even better.
giant warmachines is what got me starting to play this game, more of them is always a good thing!
I’ve never been into warmachine but the colossal models have really got me interested, if nothing else i might pick a couple up just to paint.

I love all the models they showed in this video, but I’d have to say the Galleon was my favorite of the lot. That thing is just too cool, and I’ve heard it’s brutal on the battle field as well. My least favorite was the Warspear Chieftain, but only because my pal plays Legion. 🙂
I love the mechanics of the collosals but the ( come here) is brutal I lost 2 destroyers and and half the hit boxes of a decimator to it before i put it out of it misery.
All these latest releases from PP have been great, I really can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us, and as a Cryx player, I really can’t wait to see what new filthy units are waiting in the wings…
I’m hearing good things about the steamroller event last weekend, and am kicking myself for not being able to be there… will be getting my lists ready for the next one… mmm Cryx Tiers.. sure I can work some filth in there somewhere !

The Galleon is very nice design as its broadsides are ready for action. Rask looks very interesting, but they need more minions that he can work with to fill out like the other minor groups in minions.

Privateer Press is really raising the bar these days with their large scale figures. I do miss the days of the metal figs. Nothing like carrying 20 pounds of metal around in case some one gives you a hard time with your hobby 🙂
The Galleon would take me a year to build with all those pieces, so would definately get my monies worth out of it….

Ahh, the galleon. The one way Mercs can get above POW 17 without chosing a lesser seen Dwarf ‘jack. It’s good stuff and works well with basically ALL the ‘casters.

The Galleon is a nice model, I agree that it has a lot of character and uniqueness. I know he is pretty good on the tabletop, good boost the merc army needed.

I Love how Warmachine allow me to indulge in over the top pirate action without losing that murderous pirate feel >:} I’d be awesome to see a Galleon VS Kraken.
I recently discovered warmachine and i just fell in love with it, sad part is out local shop doesn’t have it(but im also broke atm,so maybe it’s for the better:P).

Great vid guys! The Galleon looks amazing in person, Rask plays like a boss, and the way PP balances the less used units with UAs is a ingenious way to bring more balance to the game.

Another great show with another great colossal, I really like the look of this one personally. I like the nautical look of it, probably one of my favorite pieces.
I watch whats in the box all the time. well since i got into warmachine. Mainly to learn about other players armies and also to see what things my army can do that I didnt know. I have never seen a bad video from you guy. Now when it comes to what modle I liked the most,, it will be the Galleon. Only cause im not a hordes fan.
The review on the Galleon sounds spot on, I personally have the Menoth Judicator and all i felt i needed to Pin was the arms. Im lookin to start a Mercs army and The Galleon will definitely be an addition (hopefully the one your givin out)

Really like the Warspear Chieftain (like a lot of the comments do). Galleon is cool, nice and “raw”, but of these, Rask is my least favorite – not bad, just not as MEAN as the others.

The mercenaries have always appealed with their fantastic looking units and characters but the Galleon has just put them completely over the edge…what a fantastic model.

Not a big fan of the Giant Junkyard ‘Galleon’ too scrappy for my liking – Rask has the appearance i always imagined for a Boss-level D&D Sauhagin – Loving the Warspear Chieftan though, Wish he had more spears on his back though

I am Entered! Oh man the Galleon is the coolest of the Colossals in my opinion, they saw a ship crane, a docked ship, a cargo a warjack parts and a giant trident and put it together to make this bad boy of a colossal. here’s hoping that I might be the winner! Good luck everyone!
