The Drowned Earth Unboxing: Militia Starter Set
March 4, 2019 by dracs
Take a look at the Militia, defending their communities from the many threats, in the post-apocalyptic lands of miniature skirmish game The Drowned Earth.
The Militia Faction starter set contains 5 metal miniatures: Forek, Hove, Ranelle, Kraytssk and Juchita, and all their profile cards.
Which Militia member would you paint first?

I am trying to pick which of these sets to get for me and a friend to play this cool ass game.
Lovely looking miniatures, i think i’m going to have to go and watch a couple of lets plays of this game. The way Justin describes it, it seem like a very organically flowing game system.
We’ve got two Let’s Plays and a Round Breakdown for your edification: https://www.beastsofwar.com/game/the-drowned-earth/
Thank ye kindly 🙂
Been following this game on the site for some time, nice to see the minis up close which look super. The terrain used on the Lets Plays is jaw-dropping stuff. Some of the special rules read a bit like Guildball and if this game has that feel but in a full combat arena then it will do very well indeed.
I love the rag tag nature of the squads for this game.
Captain Sensible! Gerry is now my favourite presenter. Does that make me a grognard?
I imagine so. I’m just glad someone got the reference those shades definitely require whotel frames
I do live seeing the diversity of species in drowns earth
I can’t wait to see Gerry do a Captain Sensible paint scheme on the lizardman.
So many lovely mini
s across the range, not sure which faction i would go for. Think ill play pin the tail, and take it from there. The leader reminds me of Chip Hazard, the leader of the Commando Elite from small soldiers.
So not-Arnie is called Forek? is Forek a mispronounciation of Four X, as in castlemaine xxxx, which is from Autrailia which is how some idiots have mispronounced from Austria? A 6 degrees of kevin bacon approach to odd naming?
My only gripe is that the minis are metal. If they were plastic or resin I’d snap them up in a heartbeat.
