Unboxing: Warmachine Khador All-in-One Army Box
April 28, 2015 by dignity
We have an epic sized Unboxing for you as John has got his hands on a Khador All-in-One Army Box for Warmachine and has cracked it wide open for us all to feast our eyes upon.
The box contains a complete 35 point army for Warmachine and has a nice mixture of miniatures ranging from Warjacks to Infantry, an Epic Warcaster and even a battle hardened War Dog. Justin's got his hands on a Skorne army box and so both he and John will be building their armies for A Tale of Two Gamers.
Whats your pick of the Khador faction?

Justin went “men don’t read instructions” with those Spriggan parts.
And the best part? You don’t even have to paint it.

I’m having a really hard time deciphering privateers website as they seem to have a bunch of starter boxes on the website already? Do we know what the difference is, as my understanding of warmachine points is confused at best.
The battleboxes in Warmachine (or Horde), tend to be 1 caster + 2-4 Jacks (or Beasts). They are nearly all the same amount of points, come with the quick start rules, and generally give you a feel wrt what to expect from your faction. These starter battleboxes are normally balanced vs each other (the exception probably being Khador vs Cryxx) and are a good starting point.
If you are new to the game, I would recommend you pick a faction you like the look of and get it’s battlebox. Once you have got a fair understanding of how casters and Jacks work from hopefully playing with friends also starting off, then you move up to 25 points (so probably a unit, maybe a solo) to then get a grasp of how they work.
35 (which is what this army box is) points tend to be complete armies (50 points is the other popular total), so if new to the game, I’d recommend you start with the battleboxes. That said, the Khador army box in this video is a great deal (money wise, the usefulness of the units / jacks / solo’s themselves).
Edit; as mentioned, there is a 2 player starter set out there, which is also a great deal and good starting point.
You can get the two-player starter box which has i think a small memoth and khador force in , then there are what I think are battleboxes which normally have a warcaster and two/three jacks and then you can get these which look like maybe 35pts? of army.
Excellent unboxing. Those All-in-one army boxes are great deals.
I’ve just ordered this box today to start playing Warmachine/Horde and can’t wait to unbox it myself.
I will follow your “A Tale of Two Gamers” videos for sure.
For the Motherland !
The War dog shall scorn Justin’s army 🙂
Good video guys these boxes look like great deals!
In Warmachine Kahdor all in one box, unboxes you!
John & Justin – great idea your “A Tale of Two Gamers”. I’ll definitely will follow with great excitement. Btw good choice of armies.
I also like the idea of, “A Tale of Two Gamers” as each player talks about their stuff why they chose what the did and eventually it ending is a battle report or few.
Welcome comrade
