now, I’ve had an idea, id like to see one of the PanO Tag pilots in their control chair but have it as a multi level mini diorama, so up high you have the first part of my idea with the devide being out outer hull of a space ship or PanO Facility, then on the lower level you have a PanO Tag torn to bits still trying to fight.
Sooooo pumped for these! The minute I saw scarf ace I was immediately brought back to my rocker days and thoughts of rage against the machine. Love these concepts!!!

OK – this is Comment #2 so I hope this doesn’t disqualify me but I’ve had an idea burning for sometime… I want a Lisbeth Salander “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” as an Authorized Bounty Hunter on a motorbike. She clearly has L2 Booty, both as a super hot chick and her ability to “acquire” things along her adventures. Like in “The Girl that Played with Fire” she actually acquires a Motorbike and a 9mm. Cheers guys you have totally inspired me!

Everyone of those ideas is amazing. I would like to see a battle scene too. It would be nice to see various miniatures locked in close combat, or a scene with 1 figure firing from behind a wall at another who is ducking behind some rubble.

Have they shown actual Minis (unseen) anywhere here ? I was painting and may have missed em. Would be a bit disappointing if they havent shown a single new Mini during the whole week, because minis are what we love em for, isnt it ?.
All in all I love the narrating aspect that shines through the bootleg concept.
Too bad we couldn’t see minis of all of them but the artwork looks great. However, since I’m not a fan of underdressed characters my favourites are O-Yoroi followed closely by Maghariba. Thank you Beast of Wars for an awesome week.

– Soldiers on Parade. In their non-combat medal recieving uniforms
– Vehicles from the Infinity universe that can be used as scenery. Military and Civilian.
– The SILK resurrection proces
– A UR rationalist or any other alien species mentioned but already extinct or without a model
As a fan of Infinity this is a little disappointing for me.
Previously I had read the following two articles

I had been under the impression that the models from article one were the older ones and those in article two were newer, showing a positive trend in Infinity. From this new series it seems pretty clear the direction Corvus Belli have decided to take and it is not to my liking.

I love the idea of civilians and other noncombatants. I’d love to do a scenario in a crowded shopping center, where you are surrounded by fleeing civilians, and you have to make sure you don’t hit them. Very cinematic.

Maybe for this first month, the line should be called Infinity buts&legs or something like that.
This is going to be great, not only these TAG pilots but also all the ideas that where commented is shaping to be a great line.
I’d like to get an Axtranest of the EVO Hackers to put besides the table every time I play an EVO repeater.
My idea : How about two seperate Bootleg TAG models designed to kind of narratively interact. So each for itself works and looks good (and is sold separate) but if you put em together on a diorama base they suddenly link and tell the whole story.

Love the idea, that there will be opened cockpits with the pilots, entering/standing next to it. There were enough discussions, how a pilot could fit into a cockpit of a O-Yoroi. Well we’ll see.

All this looks excellent so far… I’d like to see how these ideas translate into the miniatures.
Also something from the Steel Phalanx would be cool, maybe Patroclus activating his holoprojector… I’m just not sure how to make a miniature of that.
I’d love to see a saint sepulchre knight praying to his sword before a battle.
I’d love to see a Bootleg version of the 112 Emergency Service miniature – either as part of a larger diorama of him kneeling on the edge of a crushed dropship cockpit, trying to free the pilot from her seat.. or perhaps a twist on the classic “rescue” pose featuring a female version of the 112 with all her gear (including helmet) attached to her backpack.. and in her arms she is carrying a wounded male civilian or TAG pilot who is wearing her long coat for the sake of decency 😀
Awesomesauce! As much as I’d be all for some pin-up minis, the idea of getting some non-typical, off duty type minis for this line would be epic. I would totally wanna see something like a bike repair/mod miniature, just off the top of my head… You’d get some of the dirty mechanicals, an opportunity for out of uniform minis, and just strange, non-com poses~

I think that as it would be more “themed months” in the future rather than “pilots” or “battle ravage” there could be a “fluff themed” month with non playable characters like the old man from the mountain, the nomad super ingeneer… but also the PanO layers, why not the Yu Jing emperor? and my favourite would be Alan: the speaker and image of ALEPH in the mass media, this is just an idea… bot it could work 😉

Bootleg series is interesting concept, even if some of the minis are really over the top. Sometimes its nice to have something silly.

I would like to see two themes personally “on campaign” were miniatures are depicted with full campaign gear, big bagpacks webbing, ectr and not the short skirmish gear we normally see them.
And “historical” were we see troops as they were on a particular campaign, like the Fall of Ravensbruke, Svalarheima Neocolonial Wars, Aleph Infiltrators on Shadowwars, troops from the fall of Shanghai and so on.
The Haqq one looks great
I would love to see some civilians, special characters from the main factions’ head quarters, or VIPs with their “augmented” bodyguards you could integrate into custom narative scenarios (and a couple of vehicles !).
But as a painter, i’d love to collect 54mm miniatures… i can dream 🙂

I really like the reactionary mechanics of infinity. However many pen & paper RPGs lack this mechanic. Can anyone see a way of integrating combat in Infinity with a rpg?

When you announced collector’s figures. Larger scale 54mm immediately sprang to mind. So I’d like to see bigger versions of the existing range.

2) Oznat with 2 or 3 hungries having caught their prey, or an Oznat killing an alpha hungry

This is why girls don’t like us. If we want more women involved in the hobby maybe we shouldn’t treat the female models/characters within our games simply as objects? All the female models teased here (accept maybe the Maghaband Guard, and only because she is the only one with anything like sensible clothing for the setting) are so overly sexualised and objectified it is ridiculous. (Don’t take this as an entry for the contest; I had no desire to own any of these models)

Man I must have *nearly* responded to a dozen comments like this over the last week but I’ve never actually hit submit for fear of seeming confrontational. But.. no, it isnt. What women unfamiliar with our hobby seem to hate is that we are interested in toys, and for those of us who actually game with our miniatures, we are playing with them which makes us that much less appealing and dare I say it.. sad. For women who know about the hobby or even participate in it, I suspect they can see the sexualisation of the Infinity for what it is.. a design choice that will appeal to some and turn others away. It’s a style, and while it’s cool to find it personally distasteful, don’t think that it doesn’t have a place in our hobby any more than the Bishōjo style does in manga, magazines like ‘Nuts’ do on the newsagents shelf and scantily clad women do on advertising billboards. In fact in Infinity and perhaps the manga styles that influence it, there is the added ‘safety net’ that they are not trying to portray real life, the female characters are not role models and the sculpts are not setting our expectations for how real women should look.
So.. pointing at a ‘sexy’ Infinity model, rolling your eyes and pronouncing that it is a negative portrayal of women doesn’t bring more women into the hobby and in my case at least, it certainly didn’t make my enjoyment of the hobby seem any less ‘pathetic’ to the fairer sex.
In the end it took a considered approach to the hobby as a whole, some understanding and the ability to flip a mean pancake. Oh, and the ability to be good loser when my wife’s Blood Bowl team of mostly naked male Dwarves – the Wee Free Men – wipes the floor with my team of tastefully selected and painted Human team.

My experience (mostly from other ‘Geek’ hobbies, like comics and video games) suggest to me that the treatment of women in the medium does have a negative effect on the up-take of the hobby.
In terms of those unfamiliar to the hobby, I see the objectification involved as contributing significantly to the poor standing of the hobby in these circles. It is an added barrier to entry.

I agree. In fact it’s pretty great that we can even *have* some kind of discussion about it without things devolving into some sort of flame fest. I appreciate that 🙂
..and yeah, if there is anything to be guilty of then GW are doubly so. The setting where women are almost never represented or even acknowledged to exist, and when they do they are rarely in keeping with the look of the rest of the universe. For me that’s one of the reasons I’m okay with Infinity.. because it is both consistent with the game they decided to create and because it is not a game that dominates the market and thus could be said to represent wargaming or miniatures as a whole. That is why comics struggle or more than gaming IMHO because you have two huge powerhouses who account for a lot of what reaches the shelves each month.. and they portray female characters in a very specific way. When I run a roleplaying game and I describe a female character as having a Marvel figure, everybody knows what I mean. So for someone looking to get in to comics it’s hard to see that design as a style choice when it is so heavily represented as the norm.
Video games have the same problem as you say but there it is even worse because it is so wide spread. I’m happy for silly and overly stylised games like Lollipop Chainsaw or Bayonetta to exist (no interest in playing them mind you) but when you look at the female characters in AAA games – assuming they feature at all – they are rarely well represented.
So in short my personal opinion is that such things are fine when they are offered as a choice, but it becomes a problem when it is presented as the norm.

I thinks its totally balanced in case of chauvinism. The guys are all muscles and lots of stylish haircuts and look at them or not, the the males too have muscular butts.
And yes its totally stylized and sexualized and thats one thing that makes it stand out. I really hate poltical correctness zealots. If dont like it, dont buy it. It hurts your conservative sense of the male female rolemodel you see fit for all people on the this planet, still deal with it. There is tons of products that will fit your taste, why take away from us who like it ?
This line is going to be amazing. Both O-Yoroi Kidobutai pilot and Lizard pilot are awesome and PanO Tech-Cooler looks promising. Maghariba pilot’s pose reminds me of pose that Kallen from Code Geass has when she is piloting her knightmare frame.

I’m not yet a player but I’m now a fan of the game. Choosing a faction is still a tough decision (Japanese sectorial army look good, as do Nomads and Haqqislam) but I’ve something to go on.
By coincidence I found that some friends-of-a-friend are wargamers and Infinity is one of their games – so this time I’ll only need to buy one faction 🙂
As it is I’ve a few tabs open in the Yu-Jing section of WELL KNOWN GAMING WEB STORE and am only a beer or two away from splashing some cash.

Thinking about ideas, instead of having a human with tattoos carrying the Morat’s stuff , I would make the CA Morat just standing over a female pilot/warrior pulling her hair to expose the neck and knife in hand to finish the job. (of course the female has to be near naked with clothes all torn up!!!)

Theme: leave no one behind
Execution – dioramas showing one fallen/wounded figure from a faction, and one medic or rescuer or protector saving them in any way that fits the theme – field surgery, carrying a fallen comrade, interposing themselves between the injured and the foe.
I’m too excited about all this, like I can’t wait to start a glass case collection. Let me be the first person to own Joeseph Scarface Turner!! The dude visually looks like he’s inspired by captain jack sparrow and the name is almost will turner!! Man and did you see the other pilots haha, just pure sexiness in a model!! This line will be mine no matter how many time I lose these contests. The potential for the artists involved to let loose with ideas in an incredible one. And the fact that people are calling Corvus and shouting what they want into the phone shows the excitement of all the people who crave something different once in a while. It doesn’t always have to be grim dark. I prefer a future with at least a few days of sun. Can’t wait. Good job Corvus.

There was a small artpiece in the main rulebook I think of some Hospitaller Knights performing CASEVAC while under fire. That would make for an awesome bootleg diorama!

It’s a shame that Infinity Weak ends. I’d love to see a mini of Spektr that is halfway out of TO cammo, has just bashed away staggering Aragoto and steals his bike.
What do I want to see, hmm, what about:
A remote under repair, with the internal parts visible as they are repaired/constructed
A TAG under construction
An Acontecimento Regular (or someone else) with a dismantled Combirifle, cleaning the parts
A Ninja (or someone else) on the shoulders of a TAG ramming home his CCW
A legless TAG dragging itself along the ground, or a one-legged jumping one (remote presence ones obviously)
A Dog-Warrior during transformation
An odalsque doing her makeup
The 112 hacking down a door
An Cateran or Lasig hanging heads down from a wall, aiming.

Ideas for Infinity Bootleg:
I really like the idea of the PanO remote control pilot.
I’d like to see one sitting at her control chair, holding her hand out in desperation towards a screen or control interface as she has to watch her TAG get destroyed in some brutal manner. I think it’ll really resonant with players in one way or another.
I’d love to see some bootlegs of jump characters just swooping in, jetpacks blazing, as they touched down ready to cause some damage.
A complex hacker duel diorama would be real cool. Maybe them frantically flashing their fingers towards the holo circles as one of them starts to have an aneurysm from the hacker attack.
I really love the idea of battle damaged heavy infantry, some kind of HI guy going down, their armor bits blown off as they’re firing desperately towards whoever shot them down.
A pair of TAGs locked in CC, weapons or fists just slamming into each other, would look really excellent.
Like with the Tohaa symbiont armour a unit going into or coming out of TO Camo might also be a cool idea to explore.
I’d love to see a Toni Macayana figure utilizing her Climbing Plus ability. What does a TAG that can climb any surface look like when it’s actually doing just that?
And finally, as already stated in the video, you can never go wrong with ladies climbing on TAGs for the perfect blend of sexy meets cool. So bring on more!

Excellent week of videos guys. Bootleg is an interesting idea and v sexy miniatures ( in all ways). The idea for civilians, scientists and non combatants would be great to flesh out a table. I’d love to see some more journalists like the paradiso limited edition but maybe have faction specific ones which are like current reporters where they are embedded with military, so have maybe futuristic flak jacket and more obvious recording equipment. I know o12 is supposed to be a future faction but some o12 ‘peacekeepers’. Would be awesome. Maybe some o12 ‘observers’?
Here’s hoping for a sepsitorized fusilier: something to really highlight the horrors of the CA zombification.
For some reason I’d like to see a bar fight with all the human sphere armies represented.

I want to see a japanese domaru or haramaki half out of armour with traditional garb showing through performing the tea ceremony post battle with their daisho stuck in the ground blade down behind them with collected heads from fallen foes hung from the hilts.

Also, how about a miniatue of an impersonator decloaking? I would say Fiday would be perfect for this, as I use Haqquislam, but really anyone will to.
Or an aragoto tri-bike, akira-gangers-style, with japanese flags in the back. Thinking of a two-man team on it, one going wild with a DEP or rocket launcher or something explosive while the other weelies the bike

Infinity, one of the best table top games ever invented. I’m a big GW gamer, hell I’ve been one since the Rogue days and I have seen nothing like this, from game system, figures, customer service, etc.
This company is just incredible, they put new figures monthly (Nobody does that) yes they have missed a couple of months but they stay strong.

I would love to see a diorama of a Caskuda impact! Broken ground an enemy troops getting thrown into the air.
Like the Idea of the concept but an engineer fixing stuff at her place of work in a G-string really a bit silly….as hot as that image would be, none of the man would get any work done! lol I would like to see small landing craft or crashed landers for the game.
If the Lizard pilot is anywhere near as good as the Szalamandra pilot, then sign me up.
If anyone would be fighting naked, not to get their clothes dirty, that would be the sexy Gecko pilots from Corregidor. Only god knows the amount of greasy strings holding these things together. 😀

As for ideas, how about a counter cheesecake? How about Raktorak (the ultra-aggressive Morat character from Paradiso) roaring orders in a mankini, with a couple of Morats with no idea where to look next to him…As a Nomad player, I might just be suggesting this to troll another faction though…
Another idea might be a selection of “Assassination!” scenes – ie, Ninja taking down a PanO knight, Hassassin backstabbing a Morat officer after decloaking, Spektr executing a Myrmidon from behind? On the same note, duels might be another idea – Achilles versus Morat heavy infantry (would also like the idea of a Wulver girl wolf-howling on a Guijia’s (Yu Jing TAG) wrecked torso/head)! Would also like to see a fight between two rival journalists from different forces (not so Non-Com!).
Also like the idea of dismounted bikers – the Yu Jing Aragato and Asuka would look fantastic if they decided to go from bike raid to street fight.

A diorama idea I just thought of, which I think would be quite awesome, would be an interfaction bike race! There could be people wiping out, taking hard turns, and maybe even a ramp jump.
There’s a lot of potential in this one, I feel.
How about experimenting with TO camouflage. Perhaps having an invisibile mini in the middle of transforming to visible as he/she is about to attack. Or a mini that is dressing into the TO suit.
Another potential mini is a hacker working at a control panel where it is clear in the mini what the hacker is doing.
Epic ending to a cool week of infinity videos… learned a lot and really growing to oike this series of miniatures…

I really like the bootleg mini idea. Get some cool figures that would normally never get made.
I would like to see… Civilian Gangmembers… with a cyber-punky feel to them would be awesome. That would give the artists more license to go wild with outlandish stylings, especially to go sexy without really being cheesecake, but also could potentially be used in a game. And riding motorcycles too!

Personally I would love to see a destroyed TAG diorama of not one but two TAG’s. Picture a smashed up O-Yoroi and a battered Cutter locked together in a collapsed ruin after fearsome hand to hand combat. Beside them is the O-Yoroi’s pilot standing over the Pan-O TAG’s pilot with her sword at his throat, his weapon cut in half on the ground next to him. That is the kind of diorama I would like to see!

Maghariba guard looks like it could ride in the haqq bike off the TAG, like Batman from batmobile in the Dark Knight.

Do you remember the soup seller in the fifth element? Some Ideas like that, or even plain civilians. Will they still have pets in the future? I would not be surprised to see some artificial pets maybe even a robotic centipede crawling on the line in front of his Tamagotchi Owner.
Oh by the way- that is more something for the infinity inspired terrainmaker: finally some bigger cars and trucks, that block the line of sight completely, to be put onto the road (something else, like containers on the road rarely makes any sense).
Again next to some transportation companys some merchants (food, Cyber-Dreams, cloths etc.) would be great.

Great Idea to expand the pilot series….. i like the the potential for non-combatant miniatures; oddly enough, I thought the “texting girl” would be an obvious sculpt… these would lend themselves to the obvious potential for role-playing……..
I must say the first two I like a lot but the rest…Combat pilots need cloths. As soon I see that much skin I loose all interest in female models. It is simply a cheap and unimaginative way to sell mini. I am hoping there are something redeeming with the models when they come out but I am not going to hold my breath.

I think the Bootleg line is a great idea, both for the customers and for the folks at Corvus Belli. I imagine the joy of exploring this new creative outlet will only help Infinity remain vibrant and exciting for them, and consequently us.

I heard people complaining about the fan service of the new bootleg line. Some may think that is too much cheesecake. As for me as a Nomad player lured in the game in the long forgotten era of the 1st edition by the Interventor(a), and proud gamer and owner of the Szalamandra with its gorgeous pilot, I want to say to all haters something: heck it’s about time! Finally also my fellow friend gamers could get their TAG pilot Gals, that is utter awesomeness!!!

I’d like to see a Santiago knight in the middle of a boarding action, with his helmet off, showing a gruff veteran with an eye patch and a head of wild hair, impaling some Combine scum with one hand, while popping off shots from his pistol with the other. Or make her a female with the sides of her head shaved, showing some cranial plugs (and keeping the eyepatch).
Total cheesecake royale.

The idea of the TAG pilots emerging from “opened” TAGs sounds phenomenal, but I’d also love to see more of CB’s take on what civilians look like in the Infinity universe. Carlos mentioned the PanO lawyer as a little joke, but that sounds great – a real design challenge, devoid of guns, swords, and multi-spectral visors. What does the power suit (not power-ed suit) of the future look like!

This has some great potential.
This line could be awesome. I’ve heard some very cool ideas already. But please don’t go overboard on the pin-ups. I actually like the Maghariba pilot best (from what I have seen). Too scantily clad women become a bit unbelievable in the Infinity context. These soldiers are not meant to be stupid and run into battle naked.
How about a bike chase/duel between an Aragoto and a Kum?
Or does the Japanese army have something akin to a traditional Daimyo? If so, make him, including some advisors and subjects paying repects.
Continuing that thought, any kind of tactical command center would be nice. Each faction should have their own feel, depending on their design and organisation.
The models are so beautiful. I can’t wait!
Lizard pilot is smexy. They had the Szalamander one but not a Lizard pilot. This Bootleg idea is a total luv hug for fans. I wish more companies were like you guys. I salute Corvus Belli. :3
