Brilliant show!! I really must go next year!!
I was there, shook Andys hand and said ‘nice website’. He looked slightly underwhelmed! 😛
Also said Hi to Romain, he said hi back and then I wandered off. Was nice to see the guys in the flesh though 🙂
I don’t have a wallet big enough for all that awesome, but it all looks so good. Especially interesting to see one of these:

Looking forward to further coverage of nerdvana! 🙂
They did have a few second-hand and discount stands there, plus you do get a mini for free and I bagged a sprue of two Vikings from two knights from Gripping Beast, so I would recommend coming to the next one for sure. They even had part painted minis for sale that you could dunk in some Fairy Power Spray liquid for a day and then easily clean off under a tap with a brush and clean up n paint yourself.
Make sure you get a ticket in advance though. I got mine in advance (£10 instead of £11) and thought that there was just one queue, but realised advance tickets get in without queuing. Which was good because the pay-on-the-door queue was massive! 😛
Good tip @majordutch, better book early to avoid the queue. Good stuff.
Oh, guys, you were CLOSE to Tercio Creativo’s painted miniatures XD Between Black Scorpion and Modelmates. They were in the stand of E-Minis.
@sergus … Doh! That was a big one to miss… I love the 1650 game and miniatures!!!
I was there too – even got sneakily filmed in the hobby lab lol!
Was great to meet the BoW guys – and to give Warren the handshake of METAL lol!
There was sooo bleedin’ much to see, I walked round and round for ages, finding new things to look at that I didn’t realise was there before. It was as if the stands had re-arranged themselves after I’d walked past them lol.
@warzan – I have seen the Warhammer Historical books on sale before on their warhammer historical website when I was looking for books about VIkings (gotta love Vikings lol); it seems they like to keep that sort of thing under-wraps so we don’t go bugging GW for sales in their other ranges lol 😉
It was so great seeing so much stuff, even though I couldn’t afford much of it, apart from the odd shiny lol!
Got a bargain in the form of a second print run of Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader rulebook, for…. drum roll… £15! They’re like £50-odd on eBay!
But, when I got home I realised an opportunity I completely missed-I could’ve got it signed by Mike McVey and the Perry Twins! Massive echoing ‘D’ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!’ lol And I could’ve brought my copy of the old 40K Painting Guide from the 90’s by…. Mike McVey to be signed! I couldn’t believe it! Damn it lol, I’ll have to lug them over to next year’s show now, bugger! 😛
I tried to see everything but still missed some stands, so it’s cool to see what I missed on here. 🙂 Had a great time though, looking forward to the next one!
Good show, but it did leave me a poorer man – Good to see everyone in the flesh – I been told I feature in the background at some point
Yes, next to Black Scorpion there we where getting a few Tercio Creativo minis
Im in this Vid 13min 21sec in! it was good seeing you guys again! dont forget @warzan you owe one of our pathfinders a game!
Good Video top job.
But for in the name of all that’s holy.
Build yourselves sodding a STEADYCAM.
There are loads of plans on the net and they don’t cost a lot to build.
I just know if I were to go I’d spend tons of money £££ as there are so many cool things on offer and display there. Wicked mate.
Looks an awesome day! So many cool things and cool companies =D
I’m going to have to book a ticket for next year after looking at this.
BoW Team: your coverage of the Salute 2012 show has been super fantastic. The show has really opened my eyes to all the excellent miniature/gaming companies available. There is just so much talent. I am kicking myself for not going last Saturday!!! Doh!!
Nice one Warren 🙂
