Vish and Andy sit down to go through the basic rules of Warmachine, using the Starter Rules from the Battle Box, to help new players get an idea of how the game works.
View – How to Play Warmachine pt.2
Spells point of impact cannot deviate further than their maximum range is, and from what I could see that jack was beyond the 10″ for the earthquake ^^
No it wasn’t…
It cannot deviate further than half of the spells max range if the target was out of range of the attack, giving that spell a potential of going 15″.
No the scatter distance cannot exceed half of the distance between the caster and the target and the spell cannot deviate further from the point of origin than what its maximum range.is.
First sentence on page 53 and Page 52, last sentence correspondingly.
Thank you, dear, dear people ! This is exactly what I needed… It’s very clear and to the point. I’ll watch it a few times to assimilate everything…
Very nice done. Thats what i want to see more. How to learn playing games. It was a little bit to much of talking. But you explained really every point.
I have a question about the size of this game.
Is this a scermish game, ment to be played with a small number of units?
Or is this game ment to be played with large armies. Like 40K?
How many units, squads ect. are in a fullsized game.?
It’s played with armies, but not armies of the size of 40K (although you can).
In general, you’ll have maybe 1-3 units, a few solos and warjacks… then of course your warcaster.
Games range from 15pts to 50pts+, but after that the game starts to break down a bit, as turns become overly long and somewhat tedious.
I find bigger games are better when you play doubles or a scenario/objective.
The game we demonstrated here, is only 11pts, or battle box sized. Basically, we just used the stuff you get in two of the starter sets… which is also why it isn’t painted yet.
Great vid, excited to see the vid with solos and units thrown in the mix.
You should do the ”How to play” videos first and as a last video a whole game
I really like this video and the one on warhammer fantasy. keep up the great work
Excellent…more Warmachine and Hordes “How to’s”!
Late to the party I know but this was just what I need now. I’ve picked up the Cygnar Battlebox and know nothing about the game. Thanks for making something that was so confusing on paper so clear in video. I hope to see more ‘How To’s’
Thinking about getting into warmachine but I would like to see this video before I go out and buy stuff.
