Dwarf Leaders Previewed For North Star & Osprey’s Oathmark

Some more awesome previews popped up from North Star and Osprey Games concerning the upcoming Fantasy game, Oathmark. These new Dwarf Leaders will be available in metal alongside the plastic kit when it releases soon.
Pictured here we have the King, Wizard, Musician and also three Champion models which can be used to lead different regiments into battle. I particularly like the Wizard/Runesmith with his raven perched, ready to dispense some wisdom.
The models, as I've mentioned before, have a very Tolkienesque quality to them which I think is perfect and moves away from the squat look we've become used to. There's nothing wrong with that of course, and it has its place within a more focused setting, but I do like these chainmail armoured warriors.
Plastic Beardy Crack
Talking of warriors we also have the plastic sprues which will be included within the boxes of Dwarves coming this month.
Inside the box, you're going to get six of these which means you're going to have plenty of different models to put together. I can't wait to get started on these models and build up my own version of Balin's Company to take down into the Mines of Moria.

They are very nice ….. and as Ben says have that classic dwarf feel about them . One thing that came to mind when I saw the dwarf Wizard was … Hmmmmm Dwarf Wizard Warband for Frostgrave ????? …. Surely they’d have to “cross over”
Plastic sprue looks great. Enough bits to build all with spear / hand weapon and shield or a bow. Only thing missing is the obligatory crossbows… maybe some great axes also.
Top of the frame under the spare bow. Is that an armadillo. I’m in.

Imagine playing them in something like the old Mighty Fortress castle. Or the resin Helms Deep from GW…

I do like the look of those. All Im seeing when I look at anything like this at the moment is potential Fabled Realms warbands. Ive just ordered some of the scrbor miniatures dwarf rangers for exactly that, maybe these chaps can join them.
I want some Dwarf crack
Lots of room for these in my dwarf army. They remind me of the dwarves GW used to make, but have less of a knuckle-dragging quality.
Heartbreaker made some plastic dwarves for the game fantasy warriors .. they definatly resurrected those with this release 🙂 sweet

I am a huge fan of what Northstar are doing with osprey, the minis are not blow your mind brilliant but they are characterful, and old school which has a hell of a lot of charm. I really like the lore master/wizard.
