New Rules & Tomb King Miniatures For Warhammer: The Old World
September 30, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop will be taking pre-orders for a new Arcane Journal supplement for Warhammer: The Old World this weekend, which not only continues a campaign for the Tomb Kings of Khemri but also introduces some new rules for those playing smaller games.
The War of Settra's Fury // Warhammer: The Old World
This journal continues the march of Settra the Imperishable through the realm of the Border Princes in search of the Vaults, the mountains that sit on the southern border of Bretonnia. You'll find more background lore on the wars in the Border Princes, plus new ways to build your Tomb Kings of Khemri army with monstrous mounts and the Mortuary Cults.
There are also two Armies of Infamy covering the Renegade Crowns for the Empire of Man, and the Slayer Host for the Dwarfen Mountain Holds, so there will be something for collectors to sink their teeth into.
A fun addition to this supplement is also the rules for Battle March, which cover playing high-speed games of Warhammer: The Old World at between 500 and 750 points. You will find new force limitations alongside three new deployment maps and changes to how you score battles.
New Tomb Kings of Khemri Miniatures
You can also add some brand new Tomb Kings miniatures into the mix for your armies, starting with the Liche Priests.
Liche Priests // Warhammer: The Old World
Acting as the root of power for the Tomb Kings, these mages from ages past can recall spirits to fight alongside them once more and use powerful Nehekharan spells to dash their enemies on the battlefield. This set will come with two plastic Liche Priest miniatures, one on foot and another mounted on a barded steed.
You get options for different heads, plus the scales, which can be swapped between bodies. There are also different toppers for your staff and the Liche Priest on foot comes with the magical effect base topper and that floating scroll.
If you prefer the martial approach, then you can also get your hands on the Royal Heralds.
Royal Heralds // Warhammer: The Old World
The princes and kings of old Nehekhara were often flanked by champions and bodyguards and this new plastic set represents that on the battlefield. The set comes with a Tomb Prince and a Royal Herald, who come with a bunch of different options for you to make them unique. You'll have different caps and collars as well as chest decorations and right-hand options like a two-handed weapon or the likes of the battle standard, shield or great weapon. There are also two head options for the Tomb Prince and the Royal Herald.
All of these miniatures and the new supplement for Warhammer: The Old World will be available to pre-order this weekend.

Very dry undead?
Fantastic looking miniatures. They are doing some great work for Old World, very cool indeed.
Battle March. There is definitely a trend for small quick rulesets. Not a bad development. Should we be expecting spearhead boxes for TOW?
That would be cool
Battle March sounds good; I still want the REAL undead back in the OW! Vampires and zombies! Vampires and zombies!!!
Now you’re talking!
I’m so glad they are bringing the old world back, the return of the dessicated dead.
I REALLY like these. Idk if its enough to spend gw amounts of money but I do really like them. The style, the feel, I even really like the colors of them, idk if I could spend that much time painting them but I think I’d try.
