Cal Arath Barbarian Prince - Reaper Miniatures

Cal Arath, Barbarian Prince // Reaper Miniatures

Each of these new miniatures representing Cal Arath has been sculpted by Bobby Jackson. You have the Prince version above, giving off a mixture of both Conan and Prince Adam vibes, but you also have the Conqueror and King versions as well.

Cal Arath Barbarian Conquerer - Reaper Miniatures

Cal Arath, Barbarian Conquerer // Reaper Miniatures

These could represent the mighty Cal Arath during the various stages of his life. Perhaps the first miniature represents him as a Prince, estranged from his kingdom and seeking to find a way home, adventuring and exploring whatever Fantasy world you want to drop him into. The Conqueror could be him taking on the mantle of a general within the army, striving to make a name for himself.

Finally, we have the King miniature, which represents Cal Arath during his ascension to the throne.

Cal Arath Barbarian King - Reaper Miniatures

Cal Arath, Barbarian King // Reaper Miniatures

A very cool selection of miniatures that tell a story and would be really fun for people to paint up to use in their games, be they roleplaying adventures or classic Fantasy skirmishes. Interestingly, with these miniatures being a new take on a classic character by Reaper, this would be a good time to go and get your hands on a set of free rules for Barbarian Prince from way back in the 1980s! Check it out for yourself and if that doesn't float your boat, there is also Kal-Arath, by Castle Grief, which takes a similar tone but uses the name for the Fantasy world.

Are you going to be picking up Cal Arath for yourself and a bit of Barbarian adventure?
