Face Villains Like Iron Monger & Dormammu In Marvel: Crisis Protocol
February 11, 2026 by brennon
Pre-orders are now available for two more sets for use in the 40mm scale superhero skirmish game, Marvel: Crisis Protocol by Atomic Mass Games. There is an array of heroes and villains with an Iron Man theme and an Ultimate Encounter to dive into.
Iron Lad, Iron Monger, Kang & Rescue // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
Kicking things off, we have a character pack that introduces four new characters to Marvel: Crisis Protocol. At the head of this is the towering miniature for Iron Monger, introducing some serious firepower and armour to those wanting to enhance their Criminal Syndicate in games of Crisis Protocol. A great addition to what's available in the core set for the game.
Iron Monger & Kang // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
You'll also note that Iron Monger comes alongside an iconic Marvel villain, Kang the Conqueror. He is loaded up with future tech and brings new leadership abilities to the Cabal Affiliation in-game. He also looks cool, stepping out of his portal that leads back to the 31st Century.
The Young Avengers Affiliation is bolstered by the addition of Iron Lad. He also has links to Kang himself so you could play around with all sorts of time travel shenanigans on the tabletop and in your scenarios with this character.
Iron Lad & Rescue // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
Last but not least, you also have Rescue, who is able to join her fellow Avengers and give them some much-needed medical aid and support. If you can keep your heroes in the fight for as long as possible, you can take on even the deadliest of villains. I also think of all of the miniatures, her sculpt might be my favourite. She has great dynamism, especially with the flowing hair.
Iron Lad, Iron Monger, Kang & Rescue - Miniatures // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
This set will be coming in March and gives you some great ways to expand a lot of different Affiliations in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. It should be a good match to the Core Set, as mentioned before, which features the likes of the Cabal and the Avengers. Mix Iron Land in with other Young Avengers and you're onto a winner.
Dormammu Ultimate Encounter
You can also sink your teeth into a seriously cool Ultimate Encounter set from Atomic Mass Games for Dormammu.
Dormammu Ultimate Encounter // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
As well as introducing the rules for the Dark Intruder Ultimate Encounter that sees your team of heroes facing off against a mystical powerhouse, you will also find rules for turning Dormammu into a playable character in games of Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
Dormammu // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
We've seen Atomic Mass Games do this in the past for other epic villains like Thanos. If you're a big fan of villains, then this is no doubt going to find its way into your collection. As well as the miniature for Dormammu, you also get his Dimensional Rifts.
Dimensional Rifts // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
If you're interested in the Ultimate Encounters rules, this is where two players team up to take on one epic villain. In this case, Dormammu. You will be trying to stop his dimensional incursion, perhaps with the aid of Doctor Strange and some of his mystical companions?
Dormammu Ultimate Encounter - Miniatures // Marvel: Crisis Protocol
Much like with the first character pack, this set will also be available in March. A great way for you to look ahead and plan out your next gaming day with friends. Will you go up against each other or join forces and battle Dormammu?

Movie Kang is much cooler.
Unfortunatly, AMG is loosing me a bit with these big boxes.
I understand they want to keep the SKU count from going too high, but I was already often holding back on purchases, because characters I wanted are paired with characters I do not care about.
I’m collecting characters that I read about when I was a kid/teen. So many of the newer don’t mean anything for me. And some are just from series I never read.
I only really care for Kang in this box and need to pay way too much for a bunch of characters I am only aware of exist.
I’m not spending that ammount for a box containing 3 models I will never paint.
