With my club we begin this game last month.
We are happy from the concept but we want to see the miniatures now.
Went and had a look at their figures for this game and they are not too bad. Like the mix.

I love Asian themed games but I find it difficult to purchase them. The aesthetic is beautiful, but not generic enough to be usable in a wide variety of games. Still, these are wonderful to look at, and I may pock some up to paint and display.

It’s historically inaccurate to put Ninja miniatures on the table. That would imply that their enemies see them coming, and that couldn’t be the case… unless they were also ninjas. Classic Ninja paradox.

I’ve always thought of Bushido as a rip-off Legend of the 5 Rings but as I see more of the imagery it seems much more true to Japanese (and other Asian) traditions.

I was always tempted to get into Clan War when it was out, looking at the Prefecture of Ryu starter set, Bushido could definitely scratch that itch!

Bushido had some great deals on starter force/book sets today and the guys on the stall were really good at chatting with you on such a busy day. I must admit we picked up our Bushido stuff from Troll Trader who were kicking everyone’s arses on price. Can’t wait to get these Ito painted.

gaming in a oriental setting as been a passion since oriental D&D was first released. Looking at what these guys have already done they seem to be capturing the multi faceted cultural and mythological flavour.

I think you need to buy the card set to do it but otherwise yeah they plan to allow the Rise of the Kage Ninja to be used in Bushido.

Helped my local game store choose their first shipment of Bushido stuff to bring in. Unfortunately, the only Canadian distributor of Bushido sucks big time and only sent half the stuff they ordered. Pretty sad when they had only one of the six starter sets in stock.

The only problem I have with Bushido is settling on a faction they are so cool. You just want to collect them all.

Great miniatures which are really dynamic – paint scheme awesome as well, understated but “clean” and interesting.
Occidentals can’t get away with those colour choices!!!
I’ve enjoyed playing Ospreys Ronin but this game really takes things to new level with its Oriental theme.
Its cool how each faction seems familiar until you notice the twist…

Tengu faction sounds very interesting. They also have ninja clans, but did you know as part of Samurai propaganda to discredit the ninja clans amongst the people Japan; the called ninja aka shinobi Tengu. Because Tengu are demons, part man, part crow who were expert maybe unbeatable with the sword. But this back fired and made them more feared amongst the Samurai families and so the ninja used this as tactic to put more fear in to these families. So when there estates and house holds were attacked by ninjas, they didn’t think that they being attacked by humans but demons. So the Samurai in all essence shot them selves in the foot.
Interesting game. Hopefully the distribution will be good.
