Create Mars & Badlands Battlefields With Gale Force Nine

Gale Force Nine have added to their Battlefield In A Box range with these re-vamped sets forming some Badlands and Mars style terrain which would be great for your desolate landscapes on alien worlds and the fallout of a nuclear disaster.
Unlike some of their other terrain, there's nothing you need to do with this once you get it. No flocking; all you have to do is dump it on the table and get going. I really like these Badland Pillars, especially the one with the rock balancing precariously on the top.
Their Tors are also great looking with more of their windswept terrain eroded over time. They actually have some smaller platforms of flat rock on the terrain allowing you to put your models on higher ground too.
You could use these to frame a larger settlement that has grown up in the badlands. Some of their terrain looks very familiar to existing sets that have popped up online but they haven't been on their webstore for a while so its great to see it returning.
I have indeed played on that Plateau or indeed something very similar. I think it would be neat to see some people embellish on these terrain pieces too and add their own flair to them with some technology built into the rock. Maybe you could have a few listening posts set up across the Badlands.

About time these were re-released. The GF9 terrain is always top quality. These will be on my shopping list as soon as they appear online.

Oh thank god! I emailed GF9 at the start of the year and told them how much these sets were going for on eBay because they were in high demand and you couldn’t get them any more. I’d like to think this has encouraged GF9 to bring the sets back 😀
..basically I’m being lazy. I want some terrain for my Mars-themed Warzone demo table plus something that will work for my Heavy Gear pledge when it arrives 😉

A mate of mine got the large one a while ago then when we decided to get some more, they had stopped making them so good news for my scenery collection, bad news for the wallet.
Finally!! It feels like an eternity since these were last in stock. And with expanded options to boot – can’t wait to get me hands on them ;).
Out of interest @Brennon, did GF9 contact you and tell you about this? Been waiting for them to come out online to order and no sign as of yet, just wondered if you knew a date at all…
@davebpg I was wondering the same thing. From what I can tell (according to an article on another site) these are expected to hit retail in October.. so I would expect / hope to see pre-orders on the GF9 site soon so we can get an idea of price.
In the next few weeks as far as I know – October seems like the right punt.
