"Hear Ye, Hear Ye!"
Your voice rings out in the traditional call of the Herald, yet it fails to penetrate the din of the tavern. You cannot give up though, as the king has tasked you with gathering together a group of adventurers to embark upon a great and glorious quest.
However, there are other heralds tasked with the same duty and only one of you can gain the prize. THerefore you start doing the rounds, grimacing at the stench of smoke, spilled beer and unwashed bodies. You wonder if you should take another approach, but then you see one of your rival heralds talking to a person dressed in the grubby robes of an adventuring mage. Spurring you to action, you also approach the mage and make your counter offer.
Whose offer will the mage accept? Will you find the whole party before your rivals? What is hiding under the cup?
Roll the bones and let Fate take its course.
