Love those Outcasts…that is definately mynfaction to play!
Just started watching, my bet goes on the Forsaken…
beautiful table, beautiful minis… Forsaken to report…
Warren’s enthusiasm is so amazing! He is bubbling over LOL
Hooo yea my 2 favorite factions for a game play , usually i am voting for Justin just for is bad dice rolling (sorry Justin) but Warren play my favorite faction so GO Warren and kill them all lol
nice battle guy’s
go big daddy and old mo for the win . !!!
Great to see the table in action. Go Forsaken!
Great stuff. Can’t wait to see the flamer go.
Great table. Go Leicester!
loving that table
Cant watch it here. Gyes iver to the tube
Hoooo just have look at the second part and Warren i just can beleive how luck you are …. that was a very hawsome fight Wow
Dark age is looking good!
The game looks fun to play. And that table is absolutley lovely!
Aaaaaargh…no close up off those superb minis? And no explaination of the game mechaniks bevor it all starts? Crazy has taken over BOW ;-P
Hi Soulsorcerer
As well as this game, we filmed two more before it that will be in the “Dawn of Dark Age” mini-series to follow. I think because we filmed this game later in the week, we simply forgot to focus on the mechanics in this one. Apologies : (
interesting rules with the outcast, I like the idea of the looting.
Like the asides from the different perspectives, and the balancing view from the umpire.
Good video. It would be cool if you posted up a quick image with a list a picture of each list before the battle.
Great to see a bit of tabletop action, looking forward to more videos. I am really getting into Dark Age and like it a lot.
I like how ‘Dark Age’ has some of the tactics of ‘Infinity’ but seemingly without the complexity. It looks like a lot of fun!
Looking forward to part 2
Interesting so far.
This looks a great system, may have to branch out for the Forsaken..
It is certainly a close game at this stage. Loving the ninja Strikes and their capabilities, although the Firestorm looks like it is gearing up for unleashing some burning carnage, awesome!!!
Any game that rewards you for rolling low is ok in my book! I think those Nomads with their Vengeance mechanic and various beasties are the Faction for me…
before watching, clearly the outcasts will wipe out those tech hugging forsaken
That’s an amazing table.
Both factions are very nice but my favorite must be the Kulkani and their many ways to harvest of the battlefield
Old Ma blows Justin up!!
those raptor minis are so cute. Someone please tell me I can have a full list of them.
Forsaken are the ones for me. I am a sucker for religious factions.
Was that a Mrs Doubtfire reference Warren? 😀 (37mins44secs)
Some great rules of cinematic play, Great crack from Warren and Justin. Battle reports are getting really good. looking forward to seeing more. Also some great tactics for playing a head to head all out brawl
Can you do a showcase of the models next time?^^
Those strikes seem nasty if used right, loving this so far and cant wait for part 2 to see what that firestorm does
Warren began to attack,
His ninja became just a snack.
The video done,
Ma still has her gun,
Will he win or is his army whack?
I like the way the system works from the look of this, I can imagine the way it will play with missons and objectives.
That was a great play through. Rules seem very simple and straight forward.
Just started watching. Love the look on those salt flat nomads. Amazing minis. Hope they’ll win. 🙂
An absolutely unique world in which to battle. I want to see more please!
Nice to hear the thoughts of everyone involved.
Those nomads are really becoming tempting. Scavenging is a sweet mechanic
Interesting game, incredible luck from the dice gods for Warren, I will have to check out this game a little more.
the forsaken will win… the forsaken always win… i want forsaken
My 2 favorite factions in DA! MORE MORE MORE!!!
Looks awesome
Outcast ALL THE WAY
Really loving this. I’ve picked up some Core and Kulkulkani but not gotten into the game due to lack of players. This has inspired me to get them painted to induce someone to try it with me. Well done guys!
Forsaken don’t look to be my thing. The outcasts on the other hand…. Really like the scavenge and vengeance rules so far.
Great gaming table and miniatures.
I already have a sizable Air caste force, looking forward to anything about them
I really wish I could find a community in Seattle Washington USA. I’ve done some research and cannot find an activity community online. Any suggestions?
33:30 . . . You’re a fugitive, @warzan ! A Fugitive from the Law of Averages! 😀
I love the miniatures in this game. The scale helps to convey the body types in details. The gangs and teams are gaunt, and look hungry. They are surviving, by what ever means necessary.
I have outcasts and one other faction, but have not played in years.
my goodness I love the Strikes, that is beautiful!
Looks like a game for me ^^
The prevailers are beastly, but then again, the nomads could have been too if Warren hadn’t rolled insanely good.
This games looking good, lets see how it pans out.
Awesome video guys, great game… I need to consider getting into this.
Love the table and the minis. Both look amazing.
Nice moves Justin but I think that strike still has more left in him, dependant on whether Warren manages to get initiative..
those ninjas are way too powerfull, but i like scavengers. They have some nice tricks.
Great Let’s Play guys. I like that there is a different feel to playing the faction. I thought the faction models look great. Can not wait to see more of this game.
Has Justin got better at table top war gaming or has Warren just got soft 🙂 lol
Dark Age is something I’ve wanted to expand into for ages. The models look awesome and the rules seem quite fair. Im not sure which faction I would choose because they all look so awesome but I have to admit that the Forsaken have my attention. The Saints look amazing, Saint Mark and Saint John Aegis especially.
Loving the initiative mechanic where you can force a specific opponent to activate first, Justin needs to win this initiative and force the blood isters first
John’s table is looking great.
I followed Dark Age when it was going to be a CCG & loved the Art that Brom did for it back than. Sad to see him go too.
I like the scavenging token & vegeance mechanics for the outcasts, will make it interesting as the battle goes on!
That table and those minis all look freaking awesome.
Ah, a demo game! This is where the “rubber meets the road”. REALLY can’t get into any new games, but…..probably will, lol.
Great battle report so far. The tables turned really quickly after one of strikes was killed. Can’t wait for part 2
This system looks great!
What a fantastic table well done John!
great game so far
lmao @warzan doing the Herman Munster excited dance 😀
Looking good, interested to see how the game progresses
i love these table
That is a very cool table. Neat looking game.
As much as I like the blog style battle reports its this type that I love the most. It got me into bolt action and interested in ww exodus. I have to admit the setting and factions haven’t really won me over as much as I thought I would be at the start of this week but this battle report certainly has. It has some cool mechanics and I have to say the nomads stand out as the faction for me.
I’m looking forward to part 2.
27 minutes in makes the video worth while.
Justin lines up his models then ” they are ninjas – so no charge bonus, no gang-up bonus nada for Justin”
Then his leader is too proud to pick up a scavenger token ….
The mechanics seem pretty straight forward, which allows the players to concentrate on the tactics… Awesome.
It seems like a game where a player would want to know reasonably well what all miniatures are capable of.
Come on Justin, we believe in you ! #teamJustin
Roll on Part 2!! I want to see some MAYHEM! – Vengeance fort he Win!
Game play looks interesting and I’m loving those Outcast models!
Jstin feeling for you as the dice gods roll 1 after 1 against you….
I have so much CMON plastic already.. dear god.. may need more..
I’m currently on a social year in Nepal… and you guys really know how to sweeten ones birthday in the outland 😀 keep up the great output… Outcasts forever!
13:05 – “Who are you …and what have you done with Warren?” 😀
lol
I’m from Poland and I have started playing Dark Age just few weeks ago. Absolutely love this system – great setting and amazing gameplay but its uniqeness of factions is what really caught me to this system. Finding an opponent is a pretty dificult thing here, mostly because there is only two of us here in Poland (from what i know), but we are doing our best to popularize this game in our local gaming club. I have started with two factions: bunch Forsaken and a lot of Skarrd while my friend has Brood and Dragyri but we are thinking about taking another factions. Who nows, maybe I’ll won some new miniatures here and will caught new gamers to play this awesome game 😉
This has been on my radar for a long time, glad to see BoW is giving it some coverage.
Some interesting rules on show here. I may have to hope that there’s some players local so I can give this game a shot.
I was completely shocked to watch an old woman completely decimate an entire army. Something tells me that she shouldn’t be that powerful. The dice rolls were definitely in warrens favor. Ol’ Ma is BOSS and SHE LIVES TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!!!!!!
No vengeance token for the herder dying in turn 2?
liking the game mechanics especially the have to roll lower & the forced activation
Having watched the first part, whilst the figures look great, I am not sold on the game yet. Will continue to watch to see if the I get bitten. For me the Walking Dead or Blood & Plunder are higher in the must have list at the moment.
Just how many chickens did Warren sacrifice to the Dice gods?
Woo-hoo! Go Justin!
Seems to to be a fun little game and minis are just gorgeous!
Love that table I am so tempted to pick the set up from warmill just need to work out how to hide it from the wife
Was there a vengeance token due, when Warren’s ninja killed a herder in retaliation?
I have never seen this game played before and already seem to be understanding the mechanics. I thought when half a dozen special rules started creeping in that this would just overload and confuse, but they seemed to pan out quite logically and easily.
I like the devout (possibly misguided), powers that be, melee heavy Forsaken, but the sand bandit rebellious Outcasts have their charm and the leader seems to be a bad ass with tons of character. Not sure which I would take up. Am more interested in seeing more about all the factions before committing to one favourite.
Roll on round 2.
“I haven’t finished with you yet” Is this Justin’s new catch phrase. I’m liking this @warzan @dignity mix of two different play styles
Amazing guys, Those dice rolls at the end were epic, so glad you got them on video.
Your battle reports are getting better all the time. Entertaining and gets the rules across.
….Nice Jumping Charge Plan Justin, Too bad the oposition are ninjas…
Um, why have I watched 4 videos already and this is the first time I’m seeing dinosaurs?! Always lead with dinosaurs!
I find it helps to have the webstore open in another tab when the guys are talking about which miniatures make up there respective armies. Some really nice photo”s on the Dark Age website.
Why do I get the feeling Warren is thinking of his grandma when he talks about Old Ma?
Justin,
Kill the firestorm and her explosion will roast the Crimson sisters like toasty marshmellows….
Very nice table!
Great Game from you both…i really liked the blog for the table ..cheers
The Salt Flat Nomad style appealed to me already concerning theme, looks, colours, name even. Now their play style adds a next layer on top of the pile in favour of this faction.
But the Prevailer themed miniatures increasingly speak to me as well.
By the way, I find your table, more specifically the decrepit factory buildings, just great. Build and colour radiate a certain ’80s science fiction movie architecture air which I very much adore. As in Alien that is.
It’s almost sad you didn’t include more of the scenery in your brawl.
Will Warren pull…a “miracle”?
I really enjoyed this battle report, in general the battle reports are very entertaining even if I don’t have an interest in the game. Great job thanks guys.
Really looking forward to seeing how this game plays. Been interested in the dark age minis for a while now!
First time I’ve seen this game played. I like the mechanics behind it and the two factions are quite interesting. The table looks like it would be a hoot to play on as well. Great video.
The game system looks great, the models are awesome and that table.. wish I had a fraction of that base of it to play on.. looking forward to part 2
That look on Justin’s face when he thinks he has done something clever… only to be told that he won’t get any bonuses. Priceless.
love the table they have made. This game looks really interesting will have to check out the rule book soon
Looks like a great game, maybe I should have taken a Look earlier…
The Outcasts Salt Nomads are my favourite by far! 😀
Dark Age is awesome!
That terrain is beast! So far my money is on Forsaken for the win but I know that in these games anything can happen.
Currently trying to catch up on all the Dark Age week.
All the factions for this game are looking super cool
OH CRAP!, Warrens thinking!?!? Great table guys.
Yay! Dark Age!
Could someone please make a gif of Warren’s flappy dinosaurs wiggle at the start of this?!
now this is a prize worthy of a saint
This is lovely!
Go Nomads!
Shameless contest post.
Need to get the kids out of the way so I can watch this uninterrupted.
Nice buildup of tension in this game. But I’m still a bit unsure about how the mechanics actually work. Something with D20’s and AS and DS adding up to get your target number?
From the fairly short weapon ranges seen so far I guess this game emphasises melee over shooting. I get a Necromunda / Mordheim vibe from it.
A nice start to the game guys.
Weekends on hold to catch up watching all these lol
A very enjoyable game, i`m liking how simple the game looks to play. The only hard part i can see to playing, is getting your “Tactics” to work how you want them to……………
Not seen part two of this game yet (and still got all the other videos to watch yet), but i hope the “Outcasts” win…………………
Never play a game without old ma
Great looking board
Dark Age is so cool!
Dark Age looks fun!
This was interesting!
Great to see Justin actually giving Warren a run for it in the tactical stakes…bravo Justin!
Wow! This looks fantastic!
It looks interesting!
Dark Age Week was cool!
Wow, awesome!
Dark Age rox!
This was excellent!
I’m absolutely amazed by Dark Age!
I have never tried the game, but it certainly looks like a lot of fun, and the minis are great
